129. Kushina Uzumaki was Here!

"Damn, I didn't know that was possible," Sasuke managed to say after a few moments. 

It seems everyone saying he was a prodigy was really ignorant. 

Seeing such monsters exist makes him feel like he doesn't amount to anything. 

His ego was really taking a hit.

"Not only that, I used a Rasengan on her, but do you know what happened?" This statement made both of them tense in anticipation. 

They were already having goosebumps, seemingly thinking that they were going to hear something incredible. 

"Nee-chan fucking copied my jutsu right there and even did it better than me, gave me pointers," Sora said.

Kakashi and Sasuke seem to have been left speechless. 

"Don't curse, who taught you that?" Ino bonked him on the head. 

"I don't remember, probably subconsciously picked it up while walking on the street," Sora rubbed his head where he was hit. 

"Damn, did you witness something else too? You should say that quickly," Kakashi urged him to continue. He picked up his book which he had dropped sometime during the conversation. 

Nobody's egos were hurt today...

They were massacred.

"Nah, nothing much. After leaving, she did promise that she would erase or seal the memories of people who deduced we were from the future as she went into the Ino-Shika-Cho clan." 

"I see," Kakashi dusted off dirt from his favourite book. 

"Oh, I forgot to mention, but Nee-chan was beautiful, like the most beautiful person I have seen, possibly even the coolest person I have seen," Sora said. 

"Yeah, that's a complete package," Kakashi deadpanned. It seems like she has everything, like Sage of Six Path's favourite child or something. 

'Then again, in research, it has been said that women who are at high combat prowess, like Jounin, seem to be more beautiful. Heck, it's true for men too. Guess chakra enhances that factor as well,' Kakashi shrugged. 

"Anyway, are you guys ready to explore this place? We are on a time crunch actually, need to meet somebody in the Land of Wave tomorrow," Kakashi said while packing up things. 

"Fine, we are also busy, you know. We would be going to Wave next too, you guys could travel with us," Sora also said that they were busy, despite having no work. 

"So, where do we start?" Shikamaru asked.

"Let's see the temples. I was told by an Uzumaki to explore these properly if we want to find something interesting," Kakashi said while heading towards the central temple. 

"Wait, who told you that? Also, do you think I am a Uzumaki?" Sora also started walking. 

"Well, she is long dead. There's a high chance for you to be an Uzumaki. Anyway, she isn't related to you, I am definitely sure about that," Kakashi intentionally terminated the topic before he could question more. 

He doesn't want to talk about old mental scars. 

"Oh, sorry for your loss, I guess," Sora said, and the conversation died there. 

"Why do you think I care about her death?" Kakashi raised an eyebrow. 

"Your tone says that. On how you terminated the topic, you probably don't want to elaborate on it, plus, I guess it's a gut feeling." 

"I see." 

"How interesting," Shikamaru mused.

"What's interesting?" Sasuke asked. 

"Everything is finally making sense," Shikamaru cryptically said.

"Oh, I forgot to mention this, but Kasumi Nee-chan said that Rasengan was probably created by inspiration from a tailed beast. What do you think about that? You were the Fourth's student, so you should know about this, right?"

Kakashi almost stumbled. "Right, it's true. It was inspired by Bijudama. That lady sure is scary. Good that she is not present in this era; the world wouldn't be able to handle her." 

"Really?" Sora raised his eyebrow. 

"Anyway, we are here. Now what?" Kakashi said while looking at the seals. 

"Guess we have to decrypt them," Shikamaru sighed while crouching on the ground and inspecting the lower part of the door. 

Sora summoned a kunai and cut his finger slightly, such that blood came out. He then threw the drops of blood on the door. 

"What are you doing? Do you really think that it would open by Uzumaki blood? I don't think it is that simple even if you are an Uzumaki." Sasuke shook his head. 

Why did all Uzumakis have to try to be flashy or dramatic? 

CREAK

"See, it opened. I guess I am really a Uzumaki," Sora grinned. 

Everyone was struck speechless at that. 

Sora formed a shadow clone and let it enter first. 

"Don't worry, your sacrifice won't be in vain," he said to the clone who went inside, ignoring the main's childish antics.

"You don't really have to assume that it would get dispelled. Maybe there are no traps inside," Ino suggested, but even she didn't believe her own words.

"Oh, it already exploded. All the walls closed up on him, with pointed blades sticking out from them," Sora said after a few seconds. 

"Good grief, I don't think we would be able to complete this soon. Did you see any seals?" Kakashi asked, wondering whether he had to delay his appointment or not. 

"Yeah, here's the seal we need to decipher. I guess we need to create another seal that would interact with it from far away, as this seal was on the wall," Sora quickly drew what he remembered of the seal.

After many clones' deaths and seals getting formed. 

"I didn't know that all temples are interconnected in the basement," Ino commented. 

She was getting bored along with Choji and Sasuke. 

They were just looking at the other three who were saying some cryptic words very frequently that were going above their heads. 

"Yes, saves us the trouble of looking at all temples. Lucky us," Kakashi commented. 

"This should be the final room, as that message in the scroll said. What do you think about this being a trap too?" Sora asked the other two.

"Highly likely," Shikamaru commented.

"Fine," Sora formed another shadow clone who reluctantly went to the room to his death.

After a few minutes.

"Do you still feel the chakra link with your shadow clone? There's a chance for some seals to have countermeasures against the shadow clone's memory transfer or something," Shikamaru cautioned. 

"Yeah, I still feel my clone present. I guess we should wait for a minute or two before I send another shadow clone in." 

A few more minutes.

"Oh, finally, he was actually trying to decipher the last seal. There are no traps, but another gate behind this gate."

"Did it succeed?" Shikamaru asked while entering the door. 

"Nah, it seems impossible. That's some other level of shit. Maybe a grandmaster would have some chance to solve it," Sora shook his head. 

"Ouch, I'm sorry," Sora rubbed his bonked head which was wordlessly bonked by Ino. 

"Anyway, we'll give it one hour. If we understand something, then we continue, or we give up. Form some shadow clones to think," Shikamaru said.

Kakashi and Sora formed clones. 

One hour later. 

"Yup, no clue," Shikamaru sighed.

"Maybe you should try throwing your blood on it?" Kakashi suggested, and Sora again formed a cut on his finger at the same place. 

It has already healed. 

"Take this and open!," Sora put some drops of his blood on the door and paused dramatically.

"Ah, I guess it won't work," Sora was really not embarrassed. 

Neither did his face show any. 

"Oh, it's opening," Sora suddenly said. 

Sora made a shadow clone and let it check. 

"Yup, this is safe. This should be a dead end, our end goal I think," Sora urged everybody to follow him. 

"This... is empty," Ino lamented. 

"I was expecting heaps of food or something," Choji sighed in disappointment. 

"Oh, something is written here. Let me clean up the dust," Sora said while using a gale palm to blow up all the dust. 

Everyone sneezed except for Kakashi. 

It seems there is some practical benefit to wearing a mask other than acting mysterious. 

On the wall, words of the text were written with red ink or paint:

Kushina Uzumaki was here!

Shikamaru sighed.

"Wait, did this person empty all the things when she came?" Ino said in horror. 

Their hours of being idle seemed to have been wasted. 

"Damn, do you know her or have heard of her?" Sora asked Kakashi. 

Kakashi's visible eye twitched. "She was the only one who told me to come here. Guess I got pranked." 

Everyone's eyes widened. "Actually, when did she tell you to visit this place?"

"Well, let's see, she told me to visit it when I am at least good with seals and at least a Jounin. Hmm, she told me this 15 years ago from now," Kakashi nodded at himself. 

"Woah, even after being dead, she pranked you," Sora was impressed and annoyed at his 'senior'. 

"She was a menace. She has done even worse things. Where do you think I learned to annoy people?" Kakashi smirked.
