Huff...
Reversing my transformation and returning to my Demon Form, I sighed, feeling the relief wash over me.
I've crossed the border!
Glancing back at the massive White Marble wall in the distance, I had the urge to turn and run as fast as I could in the opposite direction.
The further I got from this structure and the Wyvern guarding its skies, the better.
Tap...
I spun around my heel, shifting my gaze toward the sky.
Many stars dotted the dark expanse, twinkling like diamonds strewn across black velvet.
However, I couldn't care less about their beauty right now.
I didn't have time to appreciate the celestial display.
There was a reason why I was currently observing the night sky...
I had to follow the stars!
The stars were the guides, pointing me toward the Ruins of an ancient civilization that held the most powerful Dark Mana training technique.
If I were to just follow the certain stars, I would be led straight to the hidden Ruins.
"..."
The problem was that there were thousands of stars in the sky, each one shining brightly and vying for my attention.
I think I might be screwed...
Observing the countless twinkling lights above, I tried to recall the Novel's description of how to identify the specific constellations I needed to navigate by.
If I recall correctly, first I needed to find a star that is called the 'Stardust Beacon'.
This star was no different than any other star in terms of brightness or size, but it was surrounded by a faint haze, like a shimmering aura.
It was barely noticeable to the naked eye, but with my heightened Demon senses, I should be able to detect it.
With determination coursing through my veins, I honed my senses, scanning the vast expanse of the night sky. My eyes scoured every inch, searching for that elusive 'Stardust Beacon'. It was a needle in a cosmic haystack, but I couldn't afford to fail.
Minutes passed like hours as I painstakingly sifted through the twinkling stars. Suddenly, there it was - a star that emitted a subtle shimmer, barely distinguishable from its brethren. I fixated on it, confirming its uniqueness with my enhanced Demon sight. That had to be it - the Stardust Beacon!
"Finally..."
Now that I had my first reference point, I needed to find the second star - the 'Rainbow Twinkle'. The novel mentioned that this star appeared ordinary, but it was encircled by three other stars at precisely the same distance. A celestial puzzle.
Again, I engaged in an intense visual quest, meticulously examining star clusters.
There!
I spotted a seemingly ordinary star, and around it, three other stars adorned the heavens, forming a perfect diamond pattern with equal distances between them. I felt a surge of excitement. This had to be the Rainbow Twinkle!
With both the Stardust Beacon and the Rainbow Twinkle identified, I had to draw imaginary lines from these two stars and extend them outwards. This method would lead me to the next point in the constellation - the place where the lines crossed each other.
Remembering my math and geometry lessons, I recalled that finding the point where two lines intersected required a simple equation. I calculated the angle formed by the two lines, the distance between the two reference stars, and the direction of their extension. I held these calculations in my mind as I traced the lines through the sky.
As I followed the lines, they stretched like ethereal pathways among the stars, guiding me forward. My heart raced with anticipation, knowing I was on the right track. I had to be precise; the slightest error in calculation could lead me astray.
With each moment, I narrowed down the potential location of the ancient Ruins. I felt an adrenaline-fueled focus, blocking out all distractions and solely concentrating on my task. The journey through the heavens felt both surreal and awe-inspiring, as if I was dancing among the stars themselves.
Finally, the lines converged, crossing at a specific point in the firmament. There it was - the destination of my quest! With newfound confidence, I marked this point in my mind, etching it into my Demon memory.
I smiled, feeling triumphant in this celestial game of connect-the-dots. The stars had revealed their secrets to me, and I was now one step closer to unlocking the power of the Dark Mana training technique hidden within the Ruins.
I forgot to mention but in my past life I was kind of a nerd and solving such visual puzzles was like second nature to me.
While I might not be as great at fighting or thinking of complex battle strategies, I could use my math and geometry skills to solve some puzzles.
"This is going to be fun..."
