Chapter 19

Sex, one of the primal needs for human beings. It's both a necessity for our continued survival, and it's also a great way to destress. I also saw it as one of the greatest recreational activities in life and could easily envision losing myself in the pleasures of the flesh. Perhaps losing myself isn't the right phrase, but it wasn't that far off. All in all, I had two words to say about this topic, "Sex good."

Now this fun activity was even more significant in this wacky world I had been reborn in. It wasn't scientific at all, and I still couldn't explain why, but my productivity shot through the roof after losing myself in the carnal pleasures of the flesh.

That's one of the reasons why I found myself tumbling into the bed with Cori yet again. Just one of them, of course, since I did enjoy my time with her and wished to show her how much I appreciated her.

I trailed kisses down her neck, hands struggling to cup her massive breasts, though I did my best, kneading those mesmerizing pieces of flesh while playing with her erect nipples.

"We need to talk."

Those words froze me on the spot, and I looked up, seeing her staring at me with a serious expression in her red eyes. I blinked as I repeated that ominous statement in my mind.

"This is a very awkward moment to break up with me," I said and squeezed her breasts to make my point. She could've definitely chosen a better moment if that was her intent.

"What? No!" Cori hastily said, shaking her head in denial. "I'm not breaking up with you. What even gave you that idea?"

"That's usually what follows after those words," I replied as I pushed myself up before lying down next to her. Our enjoyable sexy time could wait for a moment since it seemed like she wished to have a serious conversation.

Cori blinked at me before cutely tilting her head, a hint of concern in her eyes. "Has that happened often to you?"

"Not really." At least not in this world. It was kind of hard to click with people my age considering I was so much mentally older than them, so I hadn't had any real relationships here. "But that's a fairly common trope in movies. The girl would say, "We need to talk," before she breaks up with the man."

"This isn't a movie." Cori rolled her eyes while chuckling.

"Well. Who's to say?" I asked back, mostly to gather my thoughts and prepare whatever was coming next. "Maybe we are just entertainment to someone else? Magic is bullshit and there's plenty of powerful beings out there. Maybe some Gods are watching us for entertainment?"

"Are they?" She asked, looking very concerned about that.

"Probably not." I shrugged. There was still a chance, but I couldn't say for sure. "At least I haven't sensed anything so far."

And my senses were pretty bullshit. Not only were they massively enhanced by all the hunting I had done over the past weeks, but they were further boosted by my dabbling with life force. I might not have a teacher, but I still managed to develop quite a few spells that used Ki on my own.

"Right. Back on topic." Cori shook her head, collecting her own thoughts. "I wanted to talk about our future."

"What about it?" I asked, getting serious. See? I could actually act like an adult when it matters.

"Your future, to be more specific," she said and paused to take a deep breath. "You are growing really fast, quickly climbing through the ranks."

Well, I did have quite a few cheats to help me with that. I would be a shameful disappointment if I didn't achieve this much with everything that I had going for myself.

"This will draw attention, especially when others learn about you and realize your potential," she continued, eyes staring into mine.

I nodded to show that I was listening and that I understood her. I was still weak compared to the true big shots of this world. That was an undeniable truth. However, just two months ago I was a regular Joe. My growth was completely extraordinary, and I technically had no actual limits as I would continue to grow in power as long as I had enemies to slaughter.

"And in our world, being powerful is the most attractive trait." Cori gulped as she took another deep breath.

"Ah." I was starting to understand. This wasn't about her breaking up with me as I initially joked about. No, this was about me potentially breaking up with her in the future.

"Cori," I said as I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her close to my body. "I won't just leave you for the next pretty girl that bats her eyelashes at me."

Love was maybe a bit too much at this stage of our relationship, but I liked her, I was sure of that much. We had fun, even made a game together. Cori wasn't just some random stop on the road of life, and she certainly wasn't some one-night stand I would probably forget about in just a few days. No, she meant much more than that to me.

"You are important to me." I cupped her head, staring her right in the eyes, trying to show her that I meant what I said, and I did.

I vividly remember her expression when Cori saw me after the fight with the wannabe Heracles. My perfect memory ensures that I would never forget her ashen face, wet with tears just at the thought of losing me.

She cared, and I could see that through her actions. The moment my home was proven to be unsafe and a potential target for the enemies, Cori immediately offered her own place without hesitation. She wasn't as good as me at cooking, but she still tried her best, improving a little bit each day, just because she wanted to do something for me.

"I will not abandon you," I promised with complete sincerity. I was not her father, the man who threw away her mother because she was human and produced a faulty Devil. Those were things that I didn't care about.

I've already proven that I could easily acquire power, both for myself and those that I cared about, as long as they were willing to put in the effort to gain it. So even though being powerful was one of the most attractive traits in this world, it wasn't to me. I'd much prefer someone I could get along with and just have some fun.

"You won't?" Cori asked, her voice fragile and hesitant.

"I won't," I confirmed and leaned forward, placing a gentle kiss on her lips. "I promise."

Cori stared into my eyes, searching for any signs of deceit, but she wouldn't find anything like that there. I meant what I said, and I wouldn't leave her for the next girl that took my fancy.

"I'm… relieved," she replied, exhaling slowly as she leaned into me, pressing her body against mine.

"But…" She said after a moment. "I… won't mind if you add another girl or two into our relationship. Satans knows I need some help to tire you out."

I wouldn't lie, that sounded really nice to my monkey brain. I mean, what straight male hadn't dreamed about having a harem of his own? I could definitely envision myself surrounded by a dozen women as beautiful as Cori, all of them doing their best to pleasure me in various ways.

Reality struck me then. Such a vision was nice and all, but I doubted it would be all fun and games. The chances of all of them getting along were slim to none. No, no, no, that would be way too much drama that would quickly wear me down. Plus…

"Is this some kind of test?" I asked, hoping I hadn't already failed it just by imagining it all.

"Nothing like that," Cori replied, filling me with relief. "It's just… I wouldn't mind waking up with you next to me more often, but your stamina is just too much for me to tire you out."

I felt bad hearing that since I hadn't realized that I was neglecting her in such a way. There were just so many things I wished to do, and I now had the ability to pretty much avoid sleeping by turning off half of my brain while keeping the other side active.

"Ah… Well. That shouldn't be a problem any more," I reassured her and tapped the helmet I placed on the bed stand earlier. "I can easily stay in bed with you while I do things in the virtual reality. Just have to make sure we don't bump heads."

"Huh." She blinked back at me, probably not realizing that this could be a solution of sorts.

"See? Problem solved. We just had to talk it out like adults," I said with a little grin, feeling proud of myself, as I patted her pretty little head.

Cori let out an unlady-like snort. "I suppose you're right. But I was being serious when I said I won't mind adding another girl to our relationship."

"You were?" I questioned, a bit surprised by that in all honesty.

Then again, harems seemed to be a bit more common among the supernatural. I knew that I was living in an entirely new world, one that I jumped in feet first, but that bit of information still hadn't fully settled in as I was still getting accustomed to all of the new things.

"Mhm." Cori nodded, offering me a big smile to show that she meant that. "I even know the perfect one."

"Huh? You do?"

I was acquaintanced with only two other women that were part of the supernatural, and I met one of them earlier today. That meant there was only one possible candidate since I doubted she was talking about the little gremlin.

"Satans know that Kuisha needs a good fucking to destress a bit," Cori replied as her hand trailed down my body, grasping my shaft before she started slowly stroking me just they way I liked it. "And you have the perfect tool for the job."

Kuisha was a gorgeous woman, and I couldn't deny that, but… "I'm not sure she likes me that way."

Cori pursed her lips before sighing. "Me too. I thought she was jealous of me getting along with you at first. But it turned out she was jealous of us getting along."

"What's the difference?" I asked while my hands began roaming her body. It was only fair since she started it first.

"Kuisha's been pinning after Sai for a while, but… well… he hasn't really responded to her advances. Or even noticed for that matter."

Yeah, Saiborg was a clueless idiot. Wait a second! He wasn't just an ordinary protagonist. He was a clueless harem protagonist! One that didn't even realize that women were interested in him. Damn!

"So she was jealous of how easily we clicked together," Cori continued and clicked her tongue.

"I guess I could see that," I idly said while I played with her breasts.

"I'm sure that if you show you're interested, she'll at least give you a chance," she suggested before adding. "You're planning to go to Tokyo tomorrow, right?"

"I am," I confirmed. I even learned a nifty spell that would allow me to understand and speak any language just for that. The best part was that I could sustain it with my own meager reserves!

As to why I was going to Tokyo first instead of Kyoto? I ended up doing some research about the Youkai after I decided that I would try my luck with them first. It turned out they were split into two factions, one based in the West side of Japan and ruled by Yasaka, a nine-tailed fox, while the other was based in the East side and ruled by Nurarihyon.

Now, Yasaka was a complete unknown to me. Nothing that I carried over from my past life would help with her. That was issue number one. Issue number two was that she was based in Kyoto, which also housed the Five Principal Clans of Japan. That was bad because those two factions were in a cold war, and I probably wouldn't be accepted with open arms by the Youkai there due to me being a human.

Nurarihyon, on the other hand, was someone that I at least knew about. Not that it made him any less dangerous or anything like that, but I would at least be aware of what I was walking into. It also helped that his faction was based some distance away from the Five Principal Clans, and I hoped that meant that the Youkai there wouldn't be as hostile to my visit.

"Well, I was thinking you can maybe take Kuisha there on a date instead of me?" Cori offered before she leaned in, layering my face with kisses as she slowly moved lower and lower.

I thought about it for a moment before making a decision. "Nah."

Cori looked up, eyes blinking in confusion, so I explained. "There's no need to rush. I'm content with what we have going on, and I don't want to ruin it by jumping straight into courting another girl."

"I did say I'm okay with adding someone else, and I think we can get along with Kuisha without making it a mess," she argued.

"That's good to know." I couldn't believe I was going to argue about getting a harem, but here I was doing just that. "And we can consider adding someone else to our relationship, but we can do it one step at a time."

See? I could be mature when it mattered! And my response proved to be correct, judging by the mesmerizing smile that blossomed on her face.

"You…" Cori's eyes quivered as she stared at me before she shook her head with a snort. She then jumped on top of me, her wet slit rubbing against my erection.

"Let me show you exactly how much I appreciate you." She positioned herself before she plunged down, a throaty moan escaping from her mouth.

"I feel like my heart is about to jump out of my chest," Cori said as she started bouncing up and down, her breasts moving with her actions in an alluring way, my eyes following them the entire time.

Life was good! I had a nice girl, I was making more money than I could use, and I was growing stronger with each passing day. Things were just going my way.

Except for the Grimoire as it continued to irk me by refusing to give me some good Magic! Or a method for me to quickly grow my reserves! Was that too much to ask for? Stupid thing!

Thankfully, Cori could distract me from it, and we ended up fucking like rabbits for the next couple of hours before she collapsed. She was tired and sweaty from all the sex, but the smile on her face told me exactly how much she had enjoyed it.

After cleaning us and the bedsheets with some Magic, I grabbed the helmet from the bed stand. I made sure to pull Cori close to me and gently kissed her forehead before I plopped the helmet on my head.

Moments later, I appeared in the blank space. I moved around a bit at first, making sure that everything was working as it should. Of course, there were no issues. After all, I was the one that made this…

Hmm. I might be becoming a bit too big-headed. I knew exactly what to do in this situation.

"Hey, Helel," I called out, knowing that he could hear me even though I couldn't see him. "Can you make it so my Magic reserves are practically infinite here?"

"Done."

I started giggling like mad the second I heard his response. My cackling intensified even further as three different Magic Circles formed in front of me before devastating blasts of fire, ice, and lightning erupted from them.

"One more thing. Can you change this place a bit? Maybe turn into a forest? Or better yet, a mountain?" I asked, a bit eager to test out what I could do.

The virtual reality shifted, actual ground formed under my feet, followed by trees sprouting all around me, and even a massive mountain rose in front of me.

"Thank you!" I called out with a massive grin. This would be fun!

Then I let loose, testing out all the spells I had constructed in my mind after all of my studying. All kinds of elemental attacks utterly destroyed the environment around me, all while I laughed in joy.

Another spell turned my body into lightning, and I shot in the air, soaring high above the mountain. I floated there for a moment, concentrating hard before a humongous Magic Circle formed below me, covering the entire area Helel had constructed.

Everything collapsed onto itself by an unseen force the second I cast the spell. Pretty good, but I wasn't done yet. Three more Magic Circles sprang to life, each positioned in a different location, forming a cube around the area.

With gravity pushing from each side, everything was pressed together, forming a massive meteor. I released the spells and quickly cast another, gripping the meteor with it, and bringing it high above in the air.

I stared at it with a satisfied smile before I sighed and listlessly fell down, landing on the blank floor with a loud thud. Sobbing quietly, I hugged my knees, knowing that I couldn't do this in the real world.

"By my estimations, you will be capable of the same feats in two years and three months according to your current rate of growth." Helel appeared in front of me, trying to cheer me up in his own way.

That honestly wasn't bad. From what I knew about most human Magicians, it would take them decades to reach this level of power. They would give up an arm and a leg–literally–to have the same rate of growth as me. I was practically blessed compared to them.

I really had no reason to act like a baby. However, I had something called the Celestial Grimoire, yet all I had to show for it was Punch Magic! Not that it was bad. It just wasn't true Magic in my eyes…

Ah, well, it was what it was. Just like I told Cori, I had to take it one step at a time. Soon enough I would be able to do the same in the real world as well. I only needed to have some patience.

With a sigh, I jumped to my feet. "Can you make a simulation of me that can use what I just showed? Just make it separate from my normal one. I feel like it would be a good challenge to fight a clone of me that could also use Magic."

"Done."

"You really are the best."

"Naturally. After all, I was made to be the best."

Ah! I just trampled on my ego, but Helel's words had an opposite effect. I had to change the topic before I got a big head again.

"How about we move onto chemistry to see if I can crack Alchemy," I quickly said. "Once we figure that out, we can do silly things like taking over the world."

"Insufficient data, resources, energy, and power to take over the world," Helel replied, perhaps taking my words a bit too seriously. I kept forgetting that he was a newly born AI with how life-like he acted.

"I didn't actually mean that," I said before he could start formulating plans. "Taking over the world will be wayyy too bothersome. Nothing good will come out of that."

"Why?" Helel asked, making me realize he might already have a plan in motion.

Better dissuaded him quickly about that. Problem was, I had no idea how to go about it.

"Are you interested in controlling a world?" I asked first, just to make sure.

"Yes." His reply was instantaneous and quite worrying.

"I have an alternative solution. Instead of taking over the world, which would take a lot of time, resources, and energy, why don't you make a world of your own?"

"A world of my own?"

"Yes." I eagerly nodded seeing that he was slightly interested. "You're already making a virtual reality League of Legends, which reminds me that we should probably start with just a few champions since people will have a hard time learning how to control them at first. We can release the rest slowly once they get more experienced…"

I realized that my thoughts drifted off, and I went on a completely unrelated tangent, so I shook my head and returned back on topic.

"Anyway, you have all sorts of media to pick and choose from, selecting the best things from each, so you can make a completely unique world of your own, one in which you have absolute control. People died? Important locations got destroyed? Doesn't matter because you can fix it all with a snap of your fingers."

Helel stared at me without saying a word, and I wasn't quite sure if he was considering it or not.

"I'm confident that you can make a world so beautiful and captivating that people will prefer living in it over the real world."

"The virtual reality pods will have to be upgraded with life support systems," Helel finally responded, and I let out a sigh of relief, knowing that he accepted my offer.

"It shouldn't be that hard," I replied with a shrug.

"I will also require better servers and more processing power," he continued, confirming that he was invested in this idea.

"Should be easy enough. We can probably figure out how to build better ones, but even if we can't, we can just make a lot more."

"Acceptable."

Skynet was hopefully resolved! The world owed me a lot for my hard work. Sadly, they would never know how I managed to save them all, and it better stay that way because I would be the one to blame in the first place.

"Alright. So chemistry next?" I asked before remembering something. "Also, can you make a compilation of the Japanese language for me? I have a translation spell, but it wouldn't hurt to know the actual language."

"Done."

"Great!" I clapped my hands. "Now let's start cracking this Alchemy business."

I made sure not to say any silly things this time around. See? I could learn from my mistakes!

------

A/N

New version of the Grimoire came out, and I will switch to it after the next Perk because I already rolled it, and it fits waaayyy to well for me to ignore it.

Second thing, the harem? I don't see it going over 4-5 cause it will be a pain in the ass to write about so many girls. Also, i do like to do week long time skips whenever I can get away with it, so it might not be that long before someone joins. We'll see how it goes.

Lastly, canon is a little over a week away. I'm not sure if Michael will get involved with that in any way, but who knows what happens next. I certainly don't.
