We were about to leave for home after our vacation when Liam came to me and said, 'Mummy, I thought we were spending more time here?' I replied, 'No, darling, we won't be staying longer.' I turned to James and asked him to pack our luggage while I faced Liam and said, 'We're leaving now.' Then I asked him, 'What was Mr. Damian telling you yesterday night?' Liam responded, 'We were just having a good time, and he was chatting with me a lot and telling me to continue being a good boy.'"

I smiled, relieved that Liam didn't suspect anything. "That's great, sweetie. Mr. Damian seems like a nice man." I tried to sound casual, but my mind was racing. What did Damian tell him? Did he reveal their true relationship?

James, sensing my tension, put a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "Let's get going, shall we? We have a long drive ahead."
