Chapter fifty nine

Kendall's pov

After arriving at London I insisted that we go to the parker family house which was Joseph's family house, he didn't want to agree but I pressurized him to go.

Not long after we were at the front gate of the magnificent parker mansion, they were a rich family in London owing the best fashion industry and model company.

" The young master is home" the gateman said as he hurried to open the doors for us and rushed inside to inform the family.

With a light grip on my hand to give me reassurance he led me in. The family wasn't a united family to begin with, my father in law sat on his favorite arm chair reading news paper.

My mother in law was sitting on the couch and getting a massage from one of the maids, my sister in law Kiara was dancing with headphones blocking her ears, Mia was eating her brunch at the dining table and Lucas was nowhere to be seen probably with his girlfriend upstairs.

" Let go of my leg, my son is finally home" my mother in law said kicking the maid who was massaging her legs.

Father in law looked up for a brief second looking between me, Matteo and Joseph before turning back to his newspaper.

" Oh my dear son, you look too thin, it's like this wretched witch had been starving you" she said giving me a disadainful look.

" Greetings mom, it's good to see you after so long, but I think my wife deserves a respect and welcome not your curse" Joseph said jumping to my defense as always.

" Forget about that, come and sit down, are you going to start outside like a stranger, come on in" she said and dragged him in, but he held my hand and dragged me along.

Kiara and Mia soon came and surrounded Joseph pushing me aside as always. Matteo started crying and I stood up to comfort him.

" Take your little bastard of a child and go out elsewhere, you are disturbing our sweet family time" mother in law said giving me a dirty look.

" Mother, he is your grandson, you didn't even look at him and you are calling him a bastard, he is just a little baby" I said trying to gain her sympathy for Matteo, I want him to get the love of his paternal family.

" No, he is not my grandson, he is just a bastard that was forced on my son because his wife is not a complete woman" mother taunted me hitting at a corner that hurts the most.

" But mother you know it's not my fault right, I didn't choose if I could give birth or not, I also wanted to have a child of my own, God didn't grant me that wish, then what can I do" I asked on the verge of tears.

" But it's your fault for seducing my son and taking him away from his family. You are just a cursed woman from a cursed background, I don't know what magic you used on my son but I woukd make sure I separate you from him forever" she said with a hiss and walked back to the living room.

Why do they hate me so much, why can't they for once accept me, every effort to win them over had been unsuccessful and they only grew to hate me more and more.

They originally wanted to get Joseph married to Silvia Bates, a princess from Italian family to strength the connection of the parker family.

But Joseph and I met in the university through a friend Naruto and became closer with time. We started dating and we're so in love with eachother, I didn't know about his betrothal to Silvia and after making sure he wants to spend the rest of his life with me, he cut off his engagement with Silvia.

This caused alot of tension in the family and the family business suffered a great deal because of the pressure the Bates put on them after the engagement was called off. Joseph promised to make amends for the damages caused because of the broken alliance and he managed by getting a contract with an even more influential family than the Bates.

But the family had already started resenting me because they all adored Silvia as their future daughter in law. But things only got worse with time. Firstly they came to find out my dark secret, that my mom had been having affairs which led to her and my father's divorce.

My father refusing to acknowledge that am his daughter thinking am someone else's which made mom and I relocate to London and not longer after that dad passed away.

Even thou it was proven he was my father after his demise, the whole drama had caused a stain on my name forever. None of them have as welcoming of mine and Joseph's marriage but we had a court marriage which made things more terrible that they were.

His mother believes I have cast a spell on him, his father wasn't someone who engaged in the family drama but he still doesn't accept me and his sister's are so resentful of me.

And his brother, Lucas he was just a F**k boy who didn't care about the family drama, only when it involves the money.

After marriage my mother in law gave me an optimatum, if I could give the family an heir they would accept me or else she would be sure to throw me out of the family.

She dragged me to the hospital to carry out some tests on me to see if I could the family an heir, but the doctor told us I won't nr able to give birth because I have a fragile womb and if at all I insist on giving birth it would cost me my life.

Mother in law insisted that Joseph divorced me and marry a full woman who could give him kids but he refused and we eventually had to move out and start our own lives away from them.

Even then I had tried to gain their acceptance several time but each time I only got more humiliated and to defend me Joseph kept getting into a fight with his family members which only strained the relationship over all.

And even now, after 12 years of marriage the parker family is still not accepting of me nor their grandson, no not grandson, adopted grandson.
