But Amelia could only bite her tongue. Caleb loomed behind her as she walked slowly out of the coffee shop and back into his car. Her eye caught the barista, and she wordlessly tried to beg for help, but it was useless.
The woman only smiled and said 'thanks for coming' in a cheerful voice, before turning back to clean the tables.
Caleb chuckled darkly. "No one will save you now." He led her to the backseat of his car.
Amelia's heart sank; the windows were tinted, so no one would be able to see anything even if she signed for help. Now, her only hope was that Caleb was driving, so that she would be able to spend time away from him to think of a solution.
But that was not to be. To her horror, there was already a chauffeur in the car, so Caleb was in the back seat next to her.
