Caleb's eyes widened.
"I―"
"You'd better head back and check through every operation that has fallen under your supervision ever since you took over W&W," Will Walton warned. "Your marriage with Amelia Kentwood has taught you nothing."
Caleb's face darkened as he clenched his hands into tight fists. "We were poor―"
"And yet Amelia Kentwood turned out to be the granddaughter of the richest man in Solara," Will said, cutting his son off again. "You had solid gold in your hands while you went in search of diamonds― just because something sparkles and shines doesn't mean it holds value in the long run. Same thing goes for the Friesents."
There was nothing Caleb could do but purse his lips. His expression turned dark but Will Walton did not care one bit. He was far from done.
