Ch 59: It's all the same

"Are you sure you will get back home safely? It would be best if you asked me to come and pick you up. I am free so I will drive you back home."

As soon as she heard Charon's offer to drive her home, Rika's heart raced, and a wave of fear washed over her. 

There was no way in hell she could allow Charon to come and drive her around, especially not after the driving she had seen from the older one.

'I would rather walk than allow Charon to drive me anywhere. I still love my life too much.'

That was how Rika felt in the heart. But she did not say these words to Charon. 

Despite her inner turmoil, Rika fought to keep her voice steady and pleasant as she responded to her roommate.

"N-No! There is no need for you to come and fetch me. I think I see someone familiar in front of me now. I will call you later! Bye!"

Rika quickly cut off the phone before Charon could ask any more.
