Chapter 20: Triple Kill with Ease

Seeing William suddenly erupt, Mrs. M quickly stepped back. Bill Turner, her personal assistant and bodyguard, shouted, "Stop, William! What do you think you're doing? Put Bond down!"

He reached for his waist, gripping a Glock 17 and preparing to point it at William.

Due to Henry, William had been secretly practicing combat skills over the years. Combined with the combat techniques of agents, assassins, and special forces just transmitted into his mind by the System, he instantly knew Bill was going for his gun. Quickly, he grabbed the keys from his pocket, and with a mage hand spell, he flung them at Bill's right wrist.

Fortunately, he knew this wasn't a place for killing. If he killed Bill, he would also have to eliminate M and Bond. A hotel, with its bustling crowd, was not an ideal place to deal with bodies, not to mention facing MI6's investigation and retaliation.

So, he used the key head, not the sharp end, to disable Bill's hand.

Just as Bill touched the holster on his side, a flash of white light struck his right wrist, causing intense pain. He cried out, his hand went numb, and the Glock fell to the floor.

Two bodyguards at the door heard Bill's warning and rushed in with their Glocks drawn. Seeing William holding Bond, they aimed their guns at him.

Before they could fire, pain shot through their wrists, and their Glocks dropped to the ground, coins clattering on the floor.

Bond, held up by William, urgently shouted, "Stop, everyone, stop! I'm fine! I'm fine, Hunter, Steve, I'm fine. William, calm down, calm down."

William squinted, uncertain yet revealing nothing. "I remember you. If I'm not mistaken, it was you, the traitor, who got my grandfather killed?"

With that, William tightened his grip on Bond's neck. His current strength was astounding, enhanced continuously by magical power. He could easily lift 200 kilograms with one hand, making it effortless to snap a neck.

Seeing William genuinely intent on killing Bond, Bill immediately bent to pick up the Glock 17, but before he could, William drew a rope from his waist, using mage hand to grab the Glock 17.

This rope, self-made by William, could extend four meters from its one-meter length.

Though he hadn't mastered whip techniques, using mage hand to simulate whip-like actions was feasible.

With a flick, the rope recoiled to his waist, and he grabbed the Glock 17 brought over by the rope.

Following the System's instructions for the Glock 17, William quickly unloaded the magazine, ejected the chambered round, and tossed the weapon aside. He relaxed his grip on Bond and said, "Mr. Nash, you better tell me how my grandfather died."

Hearing William use his real name, Bond realized William had indeed recognized him. His expression darkened, and he resignedly said, "I'm very sorry, William. Henry indeed died because of me. If you want to kill me for revenge, I have no objections."

"Wait, William," M interjected.

Seeing that William had only subdued her bodyguards and discarded his weapon, M realized he wasn't targeting her. She quickly explained, "William, your grandfather was betrayed by someone. It was Eric, 006, who betrayed him over a decade ago.

Henry was covering 007's retreat when a stray bullet hit his lung. Unable to evacuate in time, he died from the infection.

Otherwise, you wouldn't have seen Henry one last time in London. William, it wasn't Bond's fault; it was an accident."

"006 Eric, the villain from GoldenEye? What kind of world have I been reborn into?" William thought, recalling overhearing a conversation in the ICU. His grandmother had cursed a man named Nash, but his grandfather had said it wasn't his fault.

Back then, young William only knew Nash was involved in his grandfather's death. Today, the memories resurfaced, but he couldn't fully trust M and Bond.

Given that spies' words were often unreliable, even partially believable, he remained cautious. Since the information was unclear, he decided not to escalate things now. Letting go of Bond, he said, "Tell me you killed Eric, or tell me where to find him. I'll handle it myself."

Rubbing his neck, Bond was surprised by William's strength. He assured, "Don't worry, William. I avenged Henry five years ago. Eric died before my eyes. I didn't leave until I confirmed he had no heartbeat."

M, now back to her impassive self, spoke up, "Since this was a misunderstanding, let's move on. However," she continued, seeing William's restraint, "It seems Henry didn't follow MI6's protocols. He left you with considerable knowledge and training, which explains your exceptional skills hidden for ten years. You've disguised yourself well, William Devonshire, truly Henry's heir."

M's eyes blazed with anger, suspecting Henry had trained William or arranged for someone to teach him, leaving extensive knowledge for William. This was a serious violation of MI6's rules, and had Henry been alive, she'd ensure he ended up in prison.
