Alliance

In the VR world, they had all learned to ride horses so they weren't too surprised at seeing them.

And in the show, Finn had actually thought the grounder leader would show up unarmed and defenseless in front of people they didn't even know

His stupidity was mind-blowing every time Damon remembered it. Luckily Damon wasn't him and each of his generals had all their weapons on them.

And this was probably better as appearing in front of grounders with no weapons would just make them think they were dumb and useless.

In the middle of the three horses, he saw a woman with dark blonde hair and black roots. She had hazel-almond-shaped eyes and wore black war paint on her face. She also wore black leather clothes.

He knew this was Anya and they were both looking at each other before he nodded at the others and started walking toward the middle of the bridge

Anya saw this and got off of her horse before walking toward Damon before they stopped in the middle of the bridge.

They stood there and assessed each other for a second before Anya spoke.

"Your Damon, leader of the sky people," Anya said with a flat voice

"Yes." Damo nodded

"I'm Anya. You captured one of my people." She said flatly while staring into his eyes and judging him.

"You sent him to spy on us and I released him. Consider us even." Damon said and he saw Anya's eyes spark a little.

Anya looked at the man in front of her and was surprised at how powerful the sky people were. The way they held themselves were like warriors and the man in front of her was the most dangerous.

The way his eyes looked into hers with a predatory gaze and his calm stature appeared as if he had everything under control.

"Tell me why it wouldn't be in my favor to kill all of you right now and take our land back," Anya said.

"You could, but you would lose a lot of people, or you can accept our alliance offer. Well, give tribute to Trikru once a month, food, furs, pelts, medicine."

"Speaking of which I brought a gift to celebrate our first meeting." Damon waved his three generals over and they slowly walked toward Anya making the grounders on the horses trot forward a little but Anya put her hand up and they calmed down.

They watched as the three generals set the tubs down next to them and opened each one showing off loads of furs, food, and pelts.

Anya stood still for a minute and looked at Damon before speaking.

"I am willing to consider this Alliance," Anya said calmly

"But first, your best warrior versus Lincoln," Anya said while nodding over to Lincoln who was still on the other side of the bridge with the others.

Damon looked at Anya and tried to guess what she was thinking.

'She wants to see if we are even worthy of being in alliance with them. After all, being in alliance with someone weak was bad and you would have to end up using more resources to help protect them.' Damon thought.

"Octavia. Why don't you show Trikru how sky people fight." Damon said aloud and Octavia who was in the back walked toward the middle of the bridge with Lincoln.

"It would be my pleasure," Octavia smirked before Damon and Anya backed up a little and watched as Lincoln and Octavia faced each other before drawing blades.

"Hofli strongest win au." Octavia said and they all saw Lincoln's eyes widen a little bit, but Octavia had already charged him with an overhead slash.

"You can speak our language?" Anya looked over at him with surprise and emotion in her voice for the first time since their meeting.

"We're on the ground aren't we." Damon looked at Anya and smirked making her look back toward Octavia with a little more respect in her eyes.

At first, she had thought these sky people were friends of the mountain people, they wore similar clothes and had a similar form of speech but when they appeared she noticed none of them had guns like the mountain people and the way they walked was very different.

Mountain people walked like they were weak but not these sky people.

And the mountain people couldn't speak their language, but the sky people could.

"Rah!" Octavia slashed toward Lincoln with fast and aggressive strikes putting him on the defense.

Damon knew the chance of Octavia beating Lincoln was slim to none. Octavia was an amazing warrior, and she grew at an insane speed, but she had only been training for a few years, Lincoln had been training his whole life.

Though he definitely thought Octavia would be able to draw with Lincoln.

As the fight grew on Damon saw the respect in Anya's eyes grow and she finally called for the fight to stop when both fighters were growing tired and the chance of them getting injured was becoming to high.

"You've surprised me Damon of the sky people. You have yourself an alliance." Anya said before putting out her hand and Damon shook it.

"Shanen hukop," Damon said and Anya nodded.

"I will go back to my camp but if it's okay with you I would love to bring a few of my people and visit one of your villages," Damon said while looking at Anya

"Fine, we will do the same. Meet here tomorrow at sunrise." Anya said before walking back to her horse and turning around to head back home.

She needed to deliver the information of an alliance with the sky people to the Tondc chief of war.

Indra.

Damon saw the other grounders grab the gift he had brought before they all disappeared into the woods along with Lincoln.

Looking over at Octavia who was still worn out and smiling he went over to her and patted her on the back.

"You made me proud Octavia. You are a true warrior and even the Trikru leader looks at you with respect." Damon said to Octavia whose face lit up with pride and her mouth curved up.

The fact that Damon was proud of her and that she had earned the respect of someone through fighting made her very happy.

On the ark, no one was proud of her or respected her. They all just called her a criminal and a waste of oxygen.

But she wasn't that little girl under the floor anymore, no she was a warrior and Damon had helped her become who she is today.

"Thanks, Damon," Octavia said while looking at Damon whom she had grown to respect greatly.

"Anything for you," Damon said while looking upon Octavia whose spirit of the warrior deepened.

When you earn the respect of the people you love through strength there is no greater feeling.

Octavia hugged Damon and he rubbed her back before they walked back to the others.

"That went well," Bellamy said relieved that Octavia hadn't gotten hurt during the fight.

"Now we don't need to be worried about an army appearing at our gates," Clarke said with relief.

Now they didn't need to sleep with both eyes open, only one.

"We will meet them here tomorrow at sunrise to visit their village."

"Okay."

"Let's get out of here. The maun ste watching." Damon said and they all looked around before nodding and leaving back toward camp.

They were now in an alliance with Trikru but some other clans wouldn't take this very kindly. Damon could feel a storm coming.
