Lin Sen finished telling the origins of Ling Long.
A'niu stood up and greeted Ling Long with a nod.
"Then I'll just go back to the infirmary to sleep," A'niu said as he got off the bed to put on his shoes.
"Don't, did I take your room? If so, I'll just leave,"
Ling Long suddenly spoke, her voice timid.
Her eyes and brows conveyed a look of aggrieved nervousness.
It made her seem so pitiable that one couldn't help but feel compassion.
Lin Sen's eyes were full of tenderness as he quickly approached, reassuring her in a gentle whisper, "A'niu didn't mean that, don't overthink it."
A'niu was clueless, whether from sheer sleepiness or from never having seen Lin Sen behave like this.
His face was a picture of bewilderment.
"I didn't say anything, though!"
Ling Long continued, "Brother A'niu, I know you and Brother Sen are good friends. It's my fault for taking your place, it's got nothing to do with Brother Sen, please don't blame him."
A'niu, "I didn't say anything, though."
