"I apologize,"
The words snap Robin out of her thoughts and she turns to face Malik, confused.
"Huh? Why are you sorry?"
Malik frowns, dark eyes hooded, "I lied," he says flatly, "I can't cook but I said I could. So i apologize."
Robin just blinks at the man, wondering what the hell was going on.
The Malik she knew would never have admitted to any flaws or shown such vulnerability.
It was baffling.
Clearing her throat, she meets his gaze,"W-well I could tell," Robin says, a little shaky. "You looked like you were about to burn down the entire kitchen."
Malik sighs, irritation flickering on his face. "What a hassle." He grouses.
He wiped his sweating forehead, his sleeve pushing up to reveal strong, defined forearms.
Robin's eyes widened at the sight, and she quickly averted her gaze, her heart pounding in her chest.
Swallowing thickly she turns away quickly, heading to the windows.
