Song Of A Siren

Lucius and Lia walked in the direction of the stream for over twenty minutes and as they noticed strange things. More footprints belonging to beats were found, all heading towards the stream as if they were being drawn to that location.

This made Lucius wonder what may have happened to the students dropped off in that area. At first, he considered the possibility that they may be dead, but quickly abandoned that thought.

He had enhanced perception, and he knew how beasts behave. They wouldn't share the corpses of two humans amongst themselves. With almost fifteen beasts that had gone in that direction, sounds of battle should be heard by now, but it was oddly quiet.

There was something about this that made Lucius's skin crawl. He also noticed that the closer they got to the stream, the colder the air.
