Does Magic derive from life?
But ghosts are lifeless, yet they have magic power, they just can't use magic.
According to Mr. Carbone, the reason why ghosts can exist in the world is because magic power replaces life and maintains the existence of ghosts.
"..."
So darn difficult!
No wonder, many great wizards have spent their entire time in this field! The nature of magic ... is indeed not a field that wizards can delve into.
"Mr. Collins, Miss Granger ..."
Professor Flitwick said with a smile, "It's already late, so you two go and eat quickly! Mr Collins' patronus charm has been verified, and his paper will be published soon."
Mr. Carbone affirmed, "Of course, I can guarantee it!"
"Thank you, professor, thank you, Mr. Carbone." Andy thanked and left Professor Flitwick's office with Hermione.
However ... Andy didn't have any appetite at all right now.
The nature of magic is a fascinating subject.
Whoever could unlock the answer to this question would be the true God of Magic.
On the way to the great hall, Hermione looked at Andy with a worried face, "Andy, are you still thinking about that question?"
"Don't worry!"
Andy laughed, "I'm just thinking about it, I'm not going to study this field. I'm an egotistical person, but I still have some self-knowledge."
Hermione sighed in relief, "That's good. Professor Flitwick and Mr Carbone both claim that it's an unsolvable mystery and that perhaps only God can know the answer."
God. ...
How desirable.
When they reached the great hall, Andy ate his lunch absent-mindedly, but his mind always involuntarily thought of that question from before.
Ghosts, the remnants of Voldemort's soul, life, and magic.
Ghosts have no life, but they have magic power, they just can't cast spells.
As for Voldemort's remnant soul ... he might just not be able to hold a wand. Even if there is a remnant soul left, Voldemort still has great magical abilities.
He is not really dead, so he has life and magic power.
Andy opened the system panel.
Magic, Soul!
Andy had added the [Magic] attribute, this attribute could only enhance Andy's magic reserves, and no other effect could be discerned other than that.
As for the [Soul] attribute, ... Andy still didn't know what this attribute is actually useful for.
Four points of [Soul], this attribute was already considered high.
But Andy didn't discover any special advantages he had.
According to Mr. Carbone, attributes such as mind, thinking, and will all originate from the soul. Andy's [Soul] attribute was as high as four points, but it did not increase the mind, thinking, or will at all.
Andy even felt that the [Soul] attribute did not affect the ability to cast spells.
Ghost ...
Nearly Headless Nick floated across the Gryffindor's long table.
The ghosts had retained all the distinguishing features of their bodies to the point where they even looked like they did just before they died - not just the wounds on their bodies, but even the clothes they wore before they died.
'Is it just from the magic?' Andy wondered in his mind.
Hermione pulled Andy's shirt and raised her eyebrows, "Andy, you've been eating this grilled sausage ... for almost five minutes now."
"Sorry!" Andy shoved the rest of the grilled sausage into his mouth.
"Forget it!"
Hermione advised, "That's not something we can unravel."
"I understand!" Andy sighed.
Actually, Andy didn't want to waste time thinking about these 'useless' things, but his brain was out of control!
Taking a deep breath, Andy operated the Occlumency to empty his mind, and only then did he feel that his brain was a lot more relaxed.
"I'm much better!"
Andy said, speeding up the pace of his meal.
Hermione said in a serious tone, "Andy, instead of thinking about the nature of magic, you should focus on magic transfiguration. That's the kind of knowledge we can grab hold of."
"I'm sorry for making you worry."
Andy said, "As you know, I'm a person who usually loves to study magic. When I came across such an interesting subject, I was a bit unable to control my thoughts for a while."
Hermione laughed, "Actually, I'm the same, I relied on distraction to keep myself from thinking about that."
Andy scratched his head, 'Our thoughts are thoughts, and uncontrolled thinking might have something to do with will.'
[Will: 2]
This is a little too pathetic!
"Hurry up and eat, we have class this afternoon!" Hermione said nonchalantly.
"OK!" Andy assured.
***
Professor Flitwick's office.
"Filius, I have a feeling that another great wizard is about to arise from the Hogwarts." Mr Carbone raised his wine glass and gestured towards Professor Flitwick.
Flitwick similarly raised his wine glass.
He looked very happy, after all, Andy Collins is a Ravenclaw wizard.
Dumbledore, a graduate of Gryffindor.
Voldemort graduated from Slytherin.
Over the years, Gryffindor and Slytherin seemed to be the protagonists and villains of the British wizarding world, with Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff keeping a much lower profile on the contrary.
But Andy's appearance allowed Flitwick to see the dawn of Ravenclaw's rise - he even thought that the next hundred years of the magic world would belong to Ravenclaw.
As for Dumbledore and Snape's worry, about the possibility of Andy becoming the Dark Lord in the future ...
Flitwick had never worried about that.
Are you kidding, that was an improved version of the Advanced Patronus Charm!
With that spell alone, Professor Flitwick believed that if Andy Collins was a little older, he could even join the Dark Force Defence League.
In ancient times, the Patronus charm was a symbol of an excellent wizard.
"Carl, what do you think?" Flitwick asked.
"You mean that patronus charm?"
Thinking of that fat cat patronus, Mr Carbone was still in disbelief, "To be honest, before I saw that patronus, I thought for a while that it was just a legend."
Flitwick nodded.
The Patronus Charm is just an unpopular magic spell in the modern magic system, and it is not as amazing as it is depicted in the ancient documents at all.
Mr. Carbone continued, "I even think that Collins' Patronus Charm is unique. Even in the era of ancient Greek wizardry, it would have been a unique Patronus!"
Flitwick agreed, "I was joking with Collins earlier, if Mr Scamander is allowed to meet his patronus, maybe there will be another magical creature in the book 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them'."
"Haha-"
Mr Carbone laughed out loud, "The perfect combination of mind and magic power ... Honestly, Filius, I think that Patronus still has room for improvement."
"The Patronus charm is just a magic spell, if Collins can make the mind and magic power truly merge together ..."
"I dare to think that he might become the God of Magic!"
Hearing this, Flitwick's face suddenly became serious, "Carl, I've actually been hesitating. Collins and I have discussed this topic before, but I didn't tell him."
