“Moonshine? Pearl?” Takeuchi thought, confused.

He turned to where they were pointing and saw a girl.

She had long, straight white hair and a slender frame.

At first glance, she seemed entirely white—her eyebrows, hair, and smooth skin all shared the same pale tone.

If not for the black robes she wore, Takeuchi might have mistaken her for an advisor of the White faction.

Her striking appearance made her the most beautiful girl he had ever seen.

Instinctively, he reached into his pocket for his compass.

The moment he touched it, golden lines filled his vision, swirling around the girl.

Startled, he dropped the compass, and the vision vanished.

When he picked it up again, the golden lines returned, encircling her like a glowing aura. It was as if the compass was pointing directly at her.

“Huh. Interesting,” Takeuchi thought. “She’s not just an ordinary girl…”

He slipped the compass back into his pocket and leaned casually against the table, feigning indifference.
