Chapter 47

From his private office in his opulent New York mansion, Norman Osborn surveyed the wreckage of Oscorp Tower. The devastation had claimed numerous labs and valuable data. However, Osborn found solace in the fact that only the less critical labs had suffered damage, while the vital ones remained unscathed in the secure lower levels of the building.

Norman isn't worried about the hefty cost of the repairs; money is no issue for him. His primary concern is the loss of the Lizard. He had intended to capture and conduct experiments on it, but it has gone missing. According to the police, the Riders are responsible for its demise, and the body has vanished as well. Norman is deeply dissatisfied with this turn of events.

"Dammnit, I can't study the Lizard without a sample."

Norman finds himself pondering the recent encounter with the Lizard. The memory has been consuming his thoughts, especially the moment when the Lizard seemed to acknowledge him. He vividly remembers coming face to face with the creature while making his escape, and noticing that it bore a striking resemblance to the assailant who had ambushed him on his way to the hospital a few days ago.

Norman, a man of keen intellect, is convinced that the Lizard is someone he knows. The creature's features seem oddly familiar, and he suspects it is one of his scientists. Norman recalls the Lizard accusing him of stealing his research, and the only person he can recall studying lizards recently is...

"Connors…"

He recalled issuing instructions to Connors to proceed with human trials. Connors appeared reluctant, so he warned him that he would be dismissed and his research taken away if he refused. Now, Norman could understand the outcome. He suspected that Connors had decided to test the serum himself, leading to a catastrophic result.

Norman carefully reviewed the information from Connors' latest research upload. Despite Connors deleting the data from Oscorp's database, Norman had a personal copy of the database that still included the deleted data. He thoroughly examined the content and was impressed by Connors' work. Norman recognized Connors as a highly talented scientist. The video of him growing his arm back was also caught in the security cameras. Norman is very intrigued by the serum.

Although the Lizard formula may have had negative outcomes, it contains valuable data that could potentially be repurposed for other applications. The individual in charge intends to collaborate with scientists to refine the formula and ensure that it has no adverse effects.

He should not worry about Connors at the moment, as Connors has already departed from the company. It is important to keep Connors alive as he holds significant value. If necessary, he can consider using force to bring Connors back if he requires his assistance.

"Cough, cough, cough."

Norman's illness flared up once more, causing him to reach for his medication. As he swallowed the pills, his labored breathing eased, and the pain subsided. He gazed at the dwindling supply of medication in his hand, feeling a sense of urgency to find a cure for his condition before it was too late.

After the Lizard and Vermin were defeated, the Kamen Riders gained widespread attention. Vermin was apprehended by SHIELD and confined in a secure facility. Ace urged Fury to ensure that no illegal experiments were conducted on Vermin. The introduction of Kamen Rider Demons and Neith caused a sensation, attracting a large number of fans.

Many people were fans of Spider-Man and Spider-Woman, and they saw them become Kamen Riders. Their fanbases grew and gained a lot of support. Ace also received a lot of attention, but people were more focused on Demons and Neith. They were already used to him changing armor, so it did not surprise them.

In Midtown High, there was a lot of buzz about Spider-Man and Spider-Woman becoming Kamen Riders. "Are they just awesome Liz!? They went like boom and then pow!" said Flash making hand signs.

"Yeah, yeah, Flash, that is about the hundredth time you said that and watched the video," replied Liz listlessly. She wondered how she had ended up with a manchild.

"He is getting pretty excited," said Ace, who was sitting at a nearby table with his usual group of friends. They heard Flash talking about Peter and Gwen all day, and he started to think he had an obsession with them.

"Don't worry about him. He will be like that all day. It is best to ignore him." said MJ

"That is quite disturbing. I've never seen him so obsessed with something before." said Ace

"Well, Spider-Man and Spider-Woman becoming Kamen Riders is big news. I hope I get to interview them. It would be great for my blog." said MJ

"I'm sure you will get a chance, MJ." said Peter

"Yeah, you talk a lot with the Kamen Rider. I'm sure he will let you interview them." said Gwen

Peter and Gwen both look at Ace with intent. He could only shake his head with their insistence.

"Thanks you two. It is very appreciative of your support." said MJ.

"By the way, didn't you three get called to the principal's office? What happened to that? I didn't see you three after school." asked Ned

"Oh, it was just a false alarm. He was just worried about our grades, and we told him we were fine, but he did not believe us, so he lectured us for hours. That's what happened, right Gwen!?" said Peter, panicking to make an excuse."

"Yeah! Right Ace!?" she said, nudging Ace

"Yeah…" Ace thought they were still not good at hiding their identity under pressure.

"What is all this secretive thing got you three going on about." MJ noticed how the three of them were acting strange and how they suddenly got close.

"Well, when you sit together and hear the principal lecture for hours, your bond deepens." Ace learned a bit from Urataros, who made him proud.

"Right…" said MJ, still having suspicion.

Ace, Gwen, and Peter are in Ace's mansion in the training area. They are doing stretches and warm-ups for what's upcoming next.

"What are we doing here?" asked Peter

"Are we here to exercise?" asked Gwen.

"Something like that. We are here to spar." replied Ace.

"Spar?" said Peter and Gwen, their head full of question marks.

"Yes, since you guys are now Kamen Riders, it is time to up your training. I have taught you the basics of fighting before, and now it is time for you two to learn more about your abilities. Now, suit up."

Peter and Gwen only shrug and transform into Demons and Neith.

[DECIDE UP]

[DEEP, DROP, DANGER]

[KAMEN RIDER DEMONS]

[WEAVER OF FATE, SPIN NEITH SPIDER, YEAH]

"Ace, are you sure this is fair? Us against you?" asked Peter

"Oh, you two will need all the help you can get to beat me." said Ace, sounding arrogant.

"Hey! We may be new to this Kamen Rider thing, but that doesn't mean we are weak."

Ace doesn't respond and puts on his driver. He equips the Desire Driver and uses the Magnum and Boost raise buckles.

[SET]

Holographic screens appeared on Ace's sides. He turned the barrel and pressed the trigger of the magnum buckle, revving the handle of the boost buckle to transform.

"Henshin."

[DUAL ON]

[GET READY FOR, BOOST AND MAGNUM]

[READY FIGHT]

[REVV SOUNDS]

Ace's right side was covered by white armor, while his left side was adorned with red leg armor. Once attached, these pieces formed a segmented white armor on the upper half of his body and a segmented red armor on the lower half, revealing Kamen Rider Geat's MagnumBoost form.

"Now, be prepared."
