Either Love Or Hate

"Are you settling in well?" Gustav asked his fiancée.

Adela nodded, "Yes, thank you."

"We have a press conference in a couple of hours just to confirm the engagement," he told her.

"Okay," Adela responded.

"In the meantime," he said, "Would you mind coming downstairs for a light lunch?"

"Your siblings are already on their way there," he hastily added when she hesitated.

Adela nodded, "Okay."

He offered her his arm pointedly, and she walked up to him and tentatively put her hand on the inner side of his bent elbow. Gustav was quick to grasp her hand with his other hand and place it into the crook of his arm properly.

"Let's go," he said with a tense smile.
