Intruder at house

VALENCIA'S POV

'Someone is here,' Aurora whispered as soon as we neared our lakehouse, and I immediately became alert.

Blame this ink on my fur that I wasn't able to smell anything clearly anymore. Thanks to Aurora who told me about it beforehand.

I padded my way towards the back door of the house, my heart as calm as I could make it to not allow that other person to know I was there.

It was only today that I shifted and an intruder was already here? It only meant one thing. Someone was keeping a lookout at me.

Then again, judging from the kind of work I am involved with and how often I mess with the rogues and intervene with their plans, I won't be shocked if it's one of the rogue's team members or worse, a family member.

Why are family members worse? Because their sense of revenge can actually take you to hell and make you crawl your way out.
