Evening arrived and Juniper stored the aptly charged [Sun's Tear] in her inventory before using the transmission mirror to look at the magnificent evil castle.
'It should soon be time for them to travel to Braila where Carmilla's forces are waiting for them. But before that.' Turning her gaze away, the moth looks at the group of night-creatures that arrived at the ruins, crafted by Hector under the seductive whispers of Styria's queen to keep the trio from messing up her plans.
"Let's have a warmup first." Smirking, eager to test out some of her new stuff, she unwinds the Morningstar and pulls out her spear.
'Only three of them are worth at least something, the rest is fodder, heh, well, for the trio that is. Like hell these incomplete things can even think of measuring up to my demonic glory.' She thinks while casually walking towards them.
Just as a fodder notices Juniper approaching, she adjusts her footing and swings the whip at the creature.
*Shrii- BOOM!*
Before it could even finish screaming, the silver flail crashes into its face, sending it flying into its minotaur like companion before swelling up and exploding into a ball of flames, courtesy of the weapons blessed nature.
A cacophony of screams, roars and shrikes fill the air as most of the beasts get caught up in the explosion, with the weaker ones turning to ashes immediately.
With a roar louder than the rest, the minotaur like night-creature charges out of the dust cloud, horns and eyes glowing blue as its size begins to rapidly increase despite the heavy burns marring its body.
"Oh? Feisty, aint'cha?" Flicking her wrist, the Morningstar twists and arcs to perform an uppercut at the beast's jaw.
The attack gets deflected by a humanoid, spear wielding creature with two horns growing sideways out of its head while bandages cover its eyes.
Another raven like one with bone head flies out from behind the giant beast to charge at the moth.
Spinning her own spear, she covers the weapon in haki and flings it at the flying one before performing a full turn that retracts the whip and sends it out at the spear wielding foe.
With a hasty flap of its wings, the raven like night-creature avoids the spear only to hear a loud roar of pain from behind as the giant minotaur reels back with a haki reinforced spear sticking out of its eye as it collapses dead, the enlarged skull offering little resistance to the strengthened weapon.
Grinning widely, Juniper twists her wrist and causes the flail end about to be deflected to alter its trajectory just enough to wrap around the enemy's weapon instead.
Shrieking in anger, the raven like foe continues its charge.
Arriving in front of the moth with clawed hand outstretched, the demoness simply raises a free hand of her own at the incoming enemy and channels magic power from her heart through the limb before releasing it as a shockwave of compressed air, utilizing her new mastery over the element without any silly hand signs.
Crashing headfirst into the wall of pretty much solid air, snapping and cracking sounds fill the area for a moment as its momentum combined with that of the shockwave breaks every bone in its body.
With only one foe left, she decides to end it quickly.
Ice crystals race up the silver chain that wraps around the humanoid night-creature's spear before exploding into spikes at the end, impaling her enemy that kept holding onto his weapon.
"Easy enough. Elemental attacks combined with weapons is quite devastating… but I still need some more practice till I can wield magic like Sypha did in our battle…" Juniper mutters while retrieving her spear and the quasi-fallen souls from the night-creatures.
'Let's try and be a bit more creative… or wild, with my applications of magic. Yeah, that sound good, am a demon after all not some fancy pants wizard.' Happy with her resolve, she returns to the transmission mirror where she could see that the castle had already moved.
The giant structure now stands in the rubble of hundreds of obliterated homes, blasted apart by its sudden arrival.
Hundreds of vampire soldiers led by Dracula's court are making their way through the ruins and towards the sole bridge leading to city on the other side.
Meanwhile, three sneaky figures have moved to the riverside some distance away.
"Right, Carmilla and Hector use the reanimated bishop to bless the river and turn it into a deadly poison for all unholy. Forgot about that massacre, would be a waste not to get those free souls, even if my reserves are still bountiful at 5k+ despite how carelessly I've been making all kinds of stuff and how little fresh ones are coming in." The moth mutter before shrugging with a wryly smile on her lips.
"Eh, no matter. Once the important things are dealt with, I will awaken the dormant T-Virus and souls will come flooding into my system anyway. I can afford to play around for now." Opening the system's creation menu once again, Juniper takes a moment to think what shape she should give this new item.
'I already have a lamp and a crystal ball. OH! I can modify the [Soul prison Tome] to fulfil this task!' Eyes glowing at the idea, the moth pulls said item up to be modified, sinking almost another thousand souls into the thing, making it one of the, if not THE, most expensive things she had created up to date with a total cost of around 1'970 souls.
[Soul prison Tome: A leatherbound book that can imprison souls and conserve them indefinitely until removed. The tome binds to the first person that drips their blood onto the first page and grants them the ability to add or remove souls, to and from it. By opening the book, one can delve into the memories of the souls imprisoned within and learn their secrets. For all readers not bound to the book there is the danger of being corrupted by the thoughts, memories and feelings of the souls within. Attempts to damage it will cause it to be automatically stored in the system inventory. Can be called to the person bound to it at any time. (New) Passively attracts exposed souls in the area and traps them inside the tome. Strength and reach of the soul attraction can be enhanced by channelling magic power into the item.]
With all things ready, Juniper takes a deep breath and jumps into the mirror, crossing an immense distance in an instant and arriving in the moon lit night sky above the city of Braila.
Not bothering to activate her flight, the moth quickly begins to plunge down as she recalls the mirror into her inventory.
Gazing at the marching army now making its way across the stone made main bridge, she figured that she had a few more minutes to mess around before the second harvest of the night.
Flaring her observation haki, it rushes out of her and begins to cover the ground beneath, then expands further and further, picking up the position of both Hector and Carmilla, as well as the numerous vampires hiding in the city and crossing the bridge.
But it is when her senses penetrate the eerie castle walls that a cold shiver rushes down her spine, shaking her entire body.
An old, almost ancient presence of unimaginable evil and terror fills her mind, commanding both fear and respect.
"Holy shit!" Juniper chokes out in shock.
Her green eyes are shaking as she feels the immense presence of the king of vampire's weight down on her mind.
As the first and most obvious respond to experiencing something like this for the first time, the moth felt fear, and begins to reevaluate her entire idea of confronting that terrifying figure she just felt.
But after the initial terror, she snapped out of it.
"Fuck! … that is seriously scary." She whispers after shaking off her shock from witnessing the true nature of Dracula for the first time.
Closing her eyes shut and taking a deep breath of the cold air rushing past her as she continues to fall, Juniper activates [Focus] to aid in regaining her calm.
'Okay, change of plans.' Snapping open her eyes again, her lips morph into a demonic grin filled with excitement.
'He's a FUCKING BEAST! No way I'll be able to take him on with my current stats. He would absolutely OBLITERATE me!' Feeling her heart race in her chest, the moth's already large grin turns completely inhuman as it splits her entire face.
'I won't be facing some depressed old wreck like the show made me believe. I'm not Alucard, the last remains of this thing's lost happiness, his weakness incarnate. Fucking hell! I am the killer of said last remains! I killed his god damn son!' Beginning to crackle madly, Juniper makes up her mind as she fully realizes what it is she's going to fight.
She will face a wrathful parent in the body of a century old monster possessing power over the arcane and science eclipsing everything else in this world.
A being admired by Death itself.
"hehe…hahahaHAHAHAHAHAHA BRING IT ON!!" She shouts in excitement, now fully intending on getting into an all-out brawl with Vlad Dracula Teps, the king of vampires.
