On a tropical island a cruise ship was anchored with light relaxing music playing faintly, however few could hear it under the blazing alarm. Screams of panic, and frantic shouting filled the boat deck instead as water poured into the boat. With everyone in total panic a young man who clearly just ran from the pool just wearing swimtrunks rushed to get a life vest.
"Get on the lifeboat! The boat is going to go down any second!"
"I'm hurrying! Wait a second!"
'Who let the idiot drive the boat into a concrete pier!?'
The whole incident started when the captain of the boat wanted to wave hello to his friends on the pier, getting so close it smashed into the side of the boat. Now with a hole plus side of a literal pier on the boat, and it drifting out to open ocean it was total panic. The idiots even forgot how to properly lower the anchor, with even the crew in a state of total panic.
"Get out of the way!"
Right when I tried to slide on the lifevest a person knocked me over sending it over the boat and with my face on the stainless steel deck. A loud alarm rang out with the life boat dropping while I struggled to get up when suddenly the ground moved. The boat began to capsize in our direction throwing my body off it into the ocean.
Splash!
"Help! Someone help!"
Kicking and screaming with all my might all I had to my name now was just a pair of swim trunks with the lifevest far away, nobody did stop to help me despite clearing hearing me. The life boats were so focused on their own families getting to safety a loner like myself who had nobody with them received nothing. Soon I spotted my distant goal, a life vest floating in the water.
'I got to reach it! I refuse to die!'
Swimming with all my might I couldn't reach it, like cruel joke the water kept pulling it farther away while it only got harder to swim. With each second I felt my body growing stiff, until even my arms and legs couldn't even move. A few life boats finally realized I needed help after loading in their remaining friends with life vest out of the water but it was too late, with the surface slowly fading away from my sight.
'I don't want to die! Not like this! Not here! I will do anything to survive!'
Only a darkness that was frigid cold greeted my despair while I slowly watched it all fade away, not even the ship existed anymore. My lungs gave in swallowing water and then I saw it, a light. It was below me somehow and shining all around me, like a submarine deep below turning on all the lights.
'Is that heaven?'
With my mind blanking out, I felt the light consume my body. Just the idea I tried my best to struggle was my only comfort, at the very least I went down with a fight.

However in another world, a man in swim trunks was laying alone in a dark room with nothing on him, when he suddenly woke up coughing water out everywhere. Somehow still fighting on, he began gasping for air. A painful sensation like all of his organs being twisted apart was felt, only for it for to suddenly stop too. Struggling to stand, he felt his whole body twist in pain on the inside doing so. With no way to see, and with a body racked with painful shocks he stumbled around using his hands to see.
"Hello?"
'Is this the afterlife? Just darkness that never seems to end?'
Dreading at the thought of being dead, clearly it wasn't heaven with this darkness and sharp pain. The despairing thought didn't last long when suddenly his one hand pushed something over and a lowd glass shatter echoed out. Almost instantly a piercing alarm went off and shouting began to occur somewhere at a distance.
'Where the hell is this place? Did I get kidnapped? No way, who would kidnap a drowning person!'
My body may have been sore from the swim but nothing on me was hurt, so this weird pain I felt made no sense. My thoughts were cut short when the dark room was instantly lit up with extreme bright white lights that blind sighted me. A loud slam opened up a door I could barely see while covering my eyes and several men rushed into the room.
"##! ###########!"
"####? #######!"
"I don't understand!"
'What language is that!?'
They were shouting something, but looking around quickly I made an assumption. The place looked like a storage room, with supplies stacked everywhere. Only a smashed glass vase was directly in front of me, with several others near it in fine condition. All of the men had spears, and genuinely looked pissed off at me. Putting my hands in the air, and keeping my hands empty I tried to show I wasn't dangerous.
'How do you explain to someone in another language that you aren't a thief?!'
Racing up to me, I didn't even try to say anything. Thankfully I did the right thing because even more guys came in the room, so I really had no chance to fight back. One of the guys yanked my arms and tied them up, and other ones kept their spears pointed at me shouting something.
"###! #######?"
"##?"
'Their mood isn't that bad anymore…'
I was watching them talk, and their body language. It wasn't so, let's go kill this dude and more of who is this person. Confusion, and faster talking were all signs they probably were as lost as I was…
'Maybe, just maybe they can hand me to the US embassy? But where is this place? They all look European in looks and they still use old age crap?'
Pushed forward with a spear against my back, I stepped on glass. Instantly I tried to pull away from the path, but I was forced by them to walk on it when a spear nudged me. Pain, so much pain and blood. To make it worse the inside of my body felt like it was being torn apart, even a blood taste was in my mouth somehow. Forced to walk for a few minutes I collapsed to my knees unable to keep going, it was just too unbearable.
"Stop, please! I didn't steal anything! I am an American citizen on vacation!"
Two of them grabbed my armpits and dragged me outside the storage room finally, and brought me outside. Everything stopped for me at that moment, like time froze. I now realized what that something wrong is, I wasn't anywhere I knew existed. A blue ocean stretched out as far as the eyes could see, as tall spires stuck out of the island. What truly caught my eyes were some parts were literally floating in the air, like a movie prop.
'Am I on drugs?'
A dude literally flew by from one tower to another, and nobody cared seeing it happen. Looking around it didn't take long surprisingly enough to see everything, and I mean everything. Simply put it was a tiny, a very tiny island with everything in visible range. Just towers, the endless ocean and a weird ass island with towers that went beyond my sight can possibly reach, but to me that didn't matter much.
'I feel like I am waiting on my execution.'
Tied to a wooden pole, with glass in my feet that still bled I sat on the sandy floor baking in the sunlight. Each breathe made me feel worse, and now I began to cough blood. Like a cancer patient, even hair fell off when I rubbed my head against the wood pole. Everything was in pain now, just nothing was too at the same time. Almost like reaching the limit of the senses, I was comfortably numb somehow.
'I am going to die here, this is it for me?'
Looking back on my life I felt nothing but pride, I did what I wanted where I wanted. I had no family losing them young, and only spent my life trying to become anything. Nothing was spared on expense to enjoy life, but this was the end result.
'I tried my best, who would have guessed the cheap cruise tickets online would taken me here instead of south america…''
With a mocking smile, I silently watched the waves crash on the beach counting down my last moments in this weird land. No way to flee, and nowhere to run. No doubt the whole island is run by the group that did this to me, and I couldn't even stand anymore.
