Alex's house Day
Characters: Ruth, Antoinette, Musa, Alex and Wisdom
(Ruth honked at the gate and the gate man (Musa) quickly ran to open the gate)
Ruth: Yeap we are at home. This is my home. Please help me with the stuff to the store. Ooooh stop. Musa....
Musa: Madam...
Ruth: Come and get the items from the car. (Musa gathered the items and packed them inside)
Antoinette: Ruth you have a nice home.
Ruth: Aaaaaah thanks to my hardworking husband. It's now your home too. Don't worry my husband will be back in no time. He has kept quite long today.
Antoinette: I pray I'll be accepted here. Even if I am given the work as a house help I'll be very happy about that.
(Few hours later Ruth's husband Alex drives in. He honks the gate and Musa opened the gate)
Alex: Musa how are u?
Musa: I'm fine boss
Alex: Is your madam in?
Musa: Yes she came with some woman

Alex: Okay don't worry get back to your post.
(Alex enters the house with much surprise on his face to see Antoinette)
Ruth: Hi babe you are welcome. (Ruth walks to embrace her husband)
Wisdom: Good afternoon mom, good afternoon auntie.
Ruth: Good afternoon my angel. How are u?
Wisdom: Fine mom
Alex: (In low tone, asked his wife) who is she?
Ruth: Hmmmmn honey please she's my childhood friend. The one I told you about the other day. She has nowhere to stay. I met her at the market today and I brought her home. (Ruth humbly answered her husband)
Alex: What!!!!! Exclaimed angrily and tells Wisdom to go inside)
Antoinette: What is happening? (Antoinette alone talks to herself) Am I going to be rejected by him? God please have Mercy on me.
Ruth: Please come down and let me explain my dear husband.
Alex: I'll be inside. (Alex speaks in low tone with anger on his face)
Ruth: Please let me introduce u to her.
Alex: Are u death? (Alex shoos his wife off and bangs the door angrily)
Antoinette: Ruth is everything okay?
Ruth: Yeah everything is under control. I'm in charge.
Antoinette: I have a feeling he dislikes my presence.
Ruth: Hahahaha hey thus not true. (Ruth giggles and cheers Antoinette with false hope) Just relax I'll be back shortly.
Antoinette: Okay dear if u say so.
(Ruth enters the room to meet her husband)
Alex: Hey come here. What has come over you? What are u getting yourself into? How dare u bring your friend into your matrimonial home without the approval of me your husband?
Ruth: Honey please I'm sorry.
Alex: That is what u always say. So when are u going to make things right.
Ruth: Honey please she needed help and I am the only person who can help her.
Alex: Really oooh really!!!! (Alex passionately exclaimed) Are we running a charity organization in this house?
Ruth: On the contrary no but as my childhood friend I saw it very necessary to come to her aid.
Alex: Are u listening to yourself at all? Hmmmmn now let me ask u, do u know her intentions in this house?
Ruth: Honey just listen to what you are saying. This is just a fiction of your own imagination.
Alex: (Slapped his wife angrily) How dare you make mockery of me. How dare u talk to me in that manner?
Ruth: Honey u slapped me. (She raises her voice in a sorrowful tone)
Alex: And I will beat the hell out in you when u dare talk to me in such stupid manner again.
Ruth: You raised your hand on me just because I offered to help my friend. (Ruth shares tears)
Alex walks away angrily and drives off. Antoinette becomes worried as to what is really happening. Ruth wipes off her tears and joins Antoinette at the living room.
Antoinette: My sister please what is going on?
Ruth: Nothing. Everything is fine. (She wears a worried face)
Antoinette: And then why this look on your face? If I'm not welcome here please let me start going before it's late. You know the streets is dangerous at night. (She sorrowfully asked Ruth)
Ruth: Stop talking about going. Nobody is sending you away.
Antoinette: Then why did your husband walk away? Anger draws all over his face.
Ruth: Hahahaha (She laughs in pretense) who says he's angry? He had a call from the office and it's so urgent that's why he rushed out.
Antoinette: Are u sure Ruth? (She asks with doubt on her face)
Ruth: mmmmmm sure. Why not?
Antoinette: Well if you say so.
Ruth: Just relax and let me get you something to drink. I couldn't even get you anything when we came.
Antoinette: Ooooh come on I'm okay my dear.
Ruth opens the fridge and brings out some fruit juice. She pours some into the glass for Antoinette and herself.
Alex returns later in the night. When everyone is asleep. Ruth waits for her husband in the bedroom looking disturbed.
