The Lady In Black, Part Nineteen

In the dim, misty depths of a level 20 dungeon, Zenith and Emi navigated the decrepit corridors slowly. 

Behind them were the various corpses of the insect-like creatures they'd fought. 

They were a grotesque fusion of chitin and sinew, their forms resembling a nightmarish amalgamation of beetles and centipedes.

These creatures scurried across the damp stone floor with unsettling agility. Emi had nearly gotten killed a handful of times now. 

And yet, here she was, humming a little song to herself as they went deeper into the forest. 

[She's getting way too desensitized to danger.] 

Thankfully, Zenith had leveled up once again, which meant she could hopefully keep the girl alive.
