She came up behind Qian Sangui and called out, "Grandpa."
Qian Sangui turned around with a smile, and the grandfather and granddaughter silently walked hand in hand slowly toward the head of the village. Qian Sangui even turned back to stop Su Siwu and Zi Zhu from following them.
Before they even reached the entrance of the village, they could hear the crowing of chickens, the barking of dogs, and the villagers talking loudly.
As the two entered the village, they saw some of the villagers squatting at their courtyard gates, eating breakfast from large bowls.
When the villagers saw Qian Sangui, they got up and greeted him with smiles, "Master Qian, you're up early."
Qian Sangui laughed and said, "You're even earlier, already having breakfast."
The villagers laughed and said, "We lead hardworking lives, so we need to eat quickly and get to the fields to work."
