Daisuki: "So as you've all been taught, all Icemen eye users, which I shorthand to 'IceEyes', have what is known as the 'base-kit'. By just having the eye, our bodies heal non-fatal wounds faster, it enhances the quick twitch fibers in the body, and we have thermal vision which comes in handy at night and in blizzards when the actual winter snows combine with this 'fake snow' that beast Leviathan brought with him."

Saku's IceEye makes direct eye contact with Daisuki's eye and locks on.No matter how hard Saku tries, he can't break away or turn his head.

Shelly and Katsu are staring at him.

Saku(embarrassed): "Friend and I only have base-kits. We haven't even seen an Iceman since we got these eyes."

Believing that his teacher is mocking him and using him as an example, Saku gets irritated.

Saku: "Apparently, these 'base-kits' can see some type of aura from 2nd stage eyes after they exert their powers. But more importantly, well to me at least, an evolved eye user can force weaker eye users to make eye contact and not be able to look away."

Daisuki rubs the back of his own head and breaks the EyeEngage.

Daisuki(chuckles): "Sorry bud, I never tried to purposely do that before, but I figured it could be the first time for both of us."

Saku(uncomfortable): "Don't say it like that."

Daisuki: "When it comes to getting a stronger eye, it's probably a good thing to only have the 'base-kit'.

'EyeEngaging' is when eye users 'lock' Iceman eyes. When an aura is given off, it is in correlation to the attitude between the two locked users. If you see a 'calming' color like sky blue, pink, green, or yellow aura, the user sees you as friendly."

Saku looks at his now napping companion and trying to avoid any eye contact now. Katsu looks in admiration of his childhood friend.

Daisuki: "However, if you lock eyes with a user and you see a 'grey or smoke' like aura, it means they want to fight you. Whether they want to kill you or just test your ability. If a stronger or equal strength user 'wants the smoke', the EyeEngagement is unbreakable until both users mentally agree to break it or if one goes unconscious."

Katsu: "Woooah, so does that mean if you're 'EyeEngaged' you can't use your eye powers since you can't focus on using the power?"

Daisuki(points at him): "Exactly. From what I've experienced in sparing matches with other eye users, most powers aren't useful for combat. But we only have about 10 people in all 3 mountains with an IceEye and only 5 have evolved 2nd stage eyes with an ability. If you don't have an IceEye you aren't susceptible to getting stuck in an 'EyeEngage' but humans without eyes are still at a physical disadvantage. (He looks at Shelly) But like all humans there are outliers that can hold their own against any challenge, BUT that's all info needed only if there is an unlucky human that unknowingly got too close to an Iceman they luckily killed in 'Hell'."

The Cap recalls his experiences.

Daisuki: "Since none of you have actually seen an Iceman WITH one of their own eyes, you haven't seen the aura THEY give off. Each one has a 'dark, blood colored' aura, like a blood mist, oozing out of their eyes. When you kill one the 'mist' leaves their 'necks' and forms into a "blood red cloud" and it slowly floats away. The bigger the Iceman the more red aura they release."

Katsu raises his hand.

Katsu: "Can humans do the EyeEngaging thing on Icemen and can Icemen control humans?"

Daisuki (shakes his head): "Unfortunately and fortunately, no. If there was ever an eye power that could do such a thing, just being able to at least stop an Iceman would make that user extremely valuable to humanity's fight back against them."

Shelly watches Katsu as he learns more about the creatures that killed his parents.She raises her hand.

Shelly:"Sensei, have our scientists tried to have an eye user catch these blood clouds?

Maybe-"

The soldier shows his palm to stop her politely.

Daisuki:"We've tried everything to contain one of these abnormal aura clouds. But whenever we think it's obtained, the sample goes through the container without fail."

Shelly and Saku seem to be in deep thought about the information. While Katsu hasn't lost interest but is more just along for the ride.

Daisuki:"Every user has a path to evolving their eye but so far everyone who has evolved their eye to 2nd stage, gained another power along with their 'base-kit' abilities, but nobody other than your Big Bro has a "portal" ability."

Katsu is star-eyed and nerding out while Daisuki is yucking it up over himself.

Katsu: "SO THAT MAKES YOU A RARE TRIPLE S TIER BIG BRO!?!?"

Shelly and Saku aren't buying it.

Daisuki(gets serious):"But after so many Icemen, on a random night, you have a nightmare."

Katsu nervously swallows his spit and thinks to himself

Katsu(thinking):*Nightmare?*

Daisuki: "In the nightmare, you'll learn your power and when you wake up you'll instinctively know how to use your power. My nightmare was seeing the holes in my comrades from gunfire. When I woke up, I looked at my wall and a hole opened to the elevator I passed out in after accidentally acquiring the eye."

Shelly raises her hand but Saku shouts out.

Saku: "You said 'after so many Icemen', but the Academy taught us that it can be evolved by constantly killing ANY other eye user, it can be switched out if done within a time limit, and can devolve if the user retires from fighting all together."

Daisuki(head down):"They told YOU that, Saku, as well as the handful of people with an eye who were brought in from 'Hell'. But Saku, are you saying even if possible, you would try gain power by killing another human being?"

Saku responds without thought.

Saku: "Of course not. I know that answer, killing 'the right' human can give you more theoretical 'power'. With or without the eye power as a variable. 

That being said, anyone who knows what personal greed has done to humanity knows that killing another human for power always ends badly, either from rebellion caused by internal conflicting ideology or vengeful sons of the slain.

These eye powers will only lead to more unnecessary violence between humans IF we do end up beating these Icemen AND that dragon. Stronger users will be involving the survivors of humanity and sweeping them into the cycle of hate. 

Who knows what'll happen if eye users have kids and humans rapidly evolve between just one generation. Then we'll have even more racism but between those with and without powers."

Everyone, even the girl in the mirror, gets surprised by the delinquent's well thought out and morally reassuring response. Katsu listens to his old friends familiar way of philosophically breaking down certain topics into both good and bad for humans other than himself.

Katsu laughs and Saku looks at him,

Saku:"What the hell is so funny?"

Katsu controls himself.

Katsu: "I just remembered when we were in school and for a debate project because guns were being reported in the news more and more because bad humans were using them for greed and evil purposes."

The rest of Squad 40 listens to Katsu reminisce.

Platinum Hair stops giggling and listens in interest from the mirror in the same room.

Katsu: "When it came time to decide which side of the debate each person in the class was on, it was just you(and me behind you) who told them how more guns actually saved lives than took them, and how the news doesn't give credit to the good people with guns that always end up stopping the bad people with them."

Saku(chuckles): "Nice attempt at being sentimental, nerd, but the availability of guns for everyone at the time is not the same as an alien eyeball that isn't available to every human. Each eye having undetermined powers means the possibility of an evil human acquiring an OP or unbeatable power is possible. These eye 'parasites' go way beyond lead and gun powder you dimwit."
