CHAPTER 37

"Girlllllll,'' Rosie exclaimed excitedly, ''I can't believe that we're going to this rich people's party!"

Halo chuckled as she watched Rosie bounce up and down the seat of the limousine. Neither of them had been in a vehicle this fancy in their entire lives and they were both over the moon. The days that had led up to tonight were the happiest of both their lives.

They got to stay together in Halo's new place, enjoy the finest cuisine, shop for the best clothes that they could find on the internet, and simply enjoy the privileges that had been granted Halo.

King Jamal had never reached out since Halo had arrived at the house and only communicated to her through Alexis. The man was content with taking care of her every need as long as she did as instructed and continued to look like Halima. She had been given a credit card a few days ago when Alexis had dropped by to check on her and most likely try to place Rosie under subtle, close observation.
