As Megan leaves the condo, she walks out in a rush as she holds on to her anger. It took everything she had not to start running and instead, she only walked as to not make too much of a scene. She walks through the crowd quickly and passes every person and shop on the way to the Lewis Industries building. She doesn't stop as she runs into the building and takes the elevator up to the private offices. She quickly passes Jack's office and passed Roman's secretary and guards. no one dared to stop her knowing who she was to their boss. Megan had her mind set on confronting Roman, she didn't want to believe the things Apollo told her were true but she couldn't shake off the feeling that Apollo was being truthful to her and he wouldn't just lie for no reason about something this huge. Megan enters the office finding her boyfriend busy on a phone call. "Roman we need to talk!" 

Her sudden entrance made Roman jump a little as she heard her voice from behind him. He quickly ended his call and hung up the phone gently before he spoke up and looked over at her."Can't this wait? I'm kind of busy here."

she throws her bag on his desk crossing her arms, "If you don't hang up right now I swear to god I will lose my shit."

There was a hint of shock on his face when she threw her bag on his desk and he had never seen her this fired up before. Her voice was loud and harsh and it was intimidating him somewhat; he had never seen her like that before ever. He sighs and then stands up from his chair looking at her.

"Alright! Alright, I'm hanging up right now."

Megan glares at him as she waits for him to put the phone down. 

He puts the phone down and sets it aside while still looking at her.

"There happy? Now what is it that you need to talk about? Why is this thing so damn important?"

"I spoke to Apollo." She began. Roman felt his heart race, he wondered if Apollo would dare betray him this way and tell her about his mistake of almost having her brother killed by accident. 

As she mentions that she spoke to Apollo the anxiety inside Roman sky rockets and his blood felt like ice as he slowly got more nervous about what she was about to say next. Would all his fears come true or would she set his mind at ease? He remained silent just staring at her as he waited for her to speak the next sentence.

"Roman Apollo told me what you did to my brother...tell me, Tell me Apollo is lying and you didn't try to kill Marcus!"

After she said that, it took every bit of Roman to not immediately snap. The sudden rage that was boiling in him almost made him lose all composure but he took a deep breath and remained silent for a few moments. He didn't know what Apollo had told her and he hoped that he at least left some things out.

"Just what exactly did he tell you?"

"That you tried to kill Marcus..." 

He gulped as it felt like his heart stopped beating for a moment. He remained silent for a few seconds as he processed what she knew. He had to calm down right now. Otherwise this whole thing would not only end with her leaving him but it would make things worse. So he spoke in his calm and controlled voice.

"Well...he's not lying to you on that one."

She looks stunned and hurt by his confession. this was not what she wanted to hear. Roman was the man she loved and he almost got her brother killed.

"Why...why did you do that?"

Roman knew that what he did was wrong, he had been careless. he was supossed to do a background check on anyone his uncle tells him to kill but the one time he was reckless he almost killed his lovers brother.

"I was hired to kill him by my uncle because Marcus betrayed my uncle...I swear on my life I had no idea he was your brother if I had known, I swear I would have stopped my uncle."

"Roman...what the hell, your uncle Rick wants Marcus dead?"

He sighed and spoke in a defeated voice. "I know. I'm incredibly sorry about this...I never expected him to be your brother and I swear I'd never hurt him if I knew who he was to you. So...will you forgive me for this?"

Megan sighs heavily running her hand through her hair. "I don't know what to do...I don't."

He could feel the anxiety growing inside him as he waits for a response, it was one of the most frustrating feelings he ever felt. Knowing she was thinking about this and he didn't know what her answer would be was making him feel like he was about to have a heart attack. The uncertainty of it all was just so nerve wrecking.

"So will your uncle still try to harm my brother? Is Marcus still in danger?"

His face immediately turns serious when she mentions this and he shakes his head no, he would never let that happen. Roman speaks up with a tone that was firm. "No, I've already spoken to my uncle and told him I would kill him myself if he even dared to touch a hair on Marcus' head. I will make sure of it that Marcus is safe now and in the future."

"How the fuck can I believe this?"

He nods his head earnestly before he spoke in his calm, composed voice. "I promise. I swear on my life that my uncle will not get anywhere near or harm your brother in any shape or form. He's safe and he will be safe. I will make sure of that."

Megan starts crying feeling relived, she prayed that Roman would keep his word because the thought of losing her brother killed her.

She can feel Roman's arms immediately wrap around her as he holds her close to him comforting her as she cries. he lets her release her grief while he spoke up in a quiet and calming voice.

"Shhh...it's ok. You don't have to worry anymore, I've got it from here. I'll keep my promise. No one will lay a finger on him."

"Don't ever hide anything from me again Roman, I can't take it again."

He tightens his grip on her as she kept crying even as he was comforting her and he spoke in a gentle and soothing voice. "I promise. That whole thing with Marcus was the first and last time any secret will be kept from you and I swear you'll never have to feel this way again. I love you too much to intentionally keep anything from you. You're the love of my life for God's sake. So promise me, that you'll never leave me, ok?"

She looks into his blue orbs, "I can't promise you that."
