Hidden Threat in the Castle

In the dining room of the castle

“Mother, please be careful.”

Arias held Maria’s arm to support her while taking each step with caution.

“There’s no need to fuss over me like that. I might be pregnant but that doesn’t make me disabled. You too, dear. I’m just feeling sore, but it doesn’t mean I can’t walk.”

Aside from Arias who was helping her walk, there was also Albert who was on her left and never let her out of sight. The look on his face was one of concern.

“How could I not worry? The servants told me yesterday that you fainted and almost fell over. Good thing they managed to catch you before you hit the ground, otherwise things would have been worse. And your body was aching so much this morning you almost couldn’t get out of bed, yet you still act like everything’s fine.”
