The individual universe of Marvel has gone through many instances of destruction and rebirth. Aside from those godly beings related to the rules, the vast majority of life was born only after the completion of the latest cosmic reconstruction.
Indeed, a center does exist in the cosmos. Each individual universe will have a trace left over from the birth of the latest cosmos, typically a supermassive black hole. But this black hole is not simply a phenomenon of physics. In mysticism, it holds symbolic significance, representing the destruction of the old universe and the rebirth of the new.
The mass of this black hole is unimaginably large, and therefore the surrounding vast region is truly a desolate land, devoid of any celestial bodies or even light.
At this point, an anomaly violating the laws of physics appeared: within the radiation range of the vast black hole, there existed an equally colossal celestial body, emitting a faint red glow. It was the transformed antimatter universe teleportation gate channel.
This teleportation gate channel was situated in the ten-dimensional universe. From the perspective of the three-dimensional universe, it appeared as an irregularly shaped circle. The antimatter universe particles emanating from it had a deep purple and dark red color in the human eye, while the particles from the positive matter universe appeared black. Now in the overlap of the two, it was impossible to distinguish between them.
The teleportation gate channel was not affected by the black hole's absorption of light waves. Even situated within the radiation range of the black hole, it could still emit visible light from within the gate channel. Moreover, within the range of particle radiation, it was not captured by the black hole.
It looked like a deep red hole burned into a black piece of paper. Standing on a planet located at the extremely distant edge of the central star zone, Shiller frowned and murmured, "How did it become like this?"
He was genuinely puzzled. Unlike his usual meticulous investigations before undertaking any action—down to what color of underwear the villain wore in elementary school—Shiller did not know why the transmission gate expanded to such an extent.
Having read the comics, he knew very well that although the Oblivion event was a deeply impactful incident, the matter didn't extend to the level of the multiverse and above, let alone involve the destruction of the individual universe. Yet the current situation around the central black hole of the cosmos was far from optimistic.
Shiller sighed to himself. Being a solo superhero wasn't easy. He was used to manipulating others to do his bidding, yet now he had to take matters into his own hands and start the investigation from scratch which he was not accustomed to.
As mentioned previously, strategists can generally be divided into two factions, one being the criminal faction, the other, the detective faction. To all appearances, Arrogant seemed to be a criminal, while Greed seemed more like a detective, but in reality, it was wholly the opposite.
The Criminal Faction was the so-called puppet masters, accustomed to orchestrating everything from behind the scenes, making full use of others to meet their objectives. Meanwhile, the Detective Faction consisted of solvers, who followed clues discovered through investigation and decryption, then completed certain tasks before their opponents, with the objective of staying one step ahead. Clearly, the former was Greed's habit, while the latter leaned more towards Arrogant.
To be an individual superhero in Marvel, one was destined to follow the latter's modus operandi. In fact, it was to avoid being a superhero like the other transmigrators—something Greedy Shiller, who had been planning behind the scenes for so long, changing so many people's fates—wanted to avoid.
Being a superhero was indeed bothersome and tiring. Shiller grumbled a little in his heart, but still resignedly flew the Shi'ar Empire's scout ship to collect some dark matter particles near the teleportation gate channel.
Previously, the scenes Adam displayed in the theatre of the Tower of Thought revealed that the teleportation gate was opened by Reed and Banner. Shiller thought that if the expansion of the teleportation gate was not their doing, they should at least be able to find clues to it. Hence, he returned to the Solar System in the scout ship.
Since the scout ship was from the Shi'ar Empire, and because the Shi'ar Empire's teleportation technology was highly developed, Heimdall, who remained in Asgard, noticed that Shiller was the one sailing the ship. Recognizing the biological characteristics as correct, he allowed him to enter the Nine Major Kingdoms.
Shiller parked the spaceship near Pluto, blending in with the previous Kree Guard Ships, then used the gray mist to drift back to Earth, attempting to find Reed and Banner. He wanted to offer them the dark matter particles he had just collected to see if they could investigate and find some clues.
But by the time he arrived, the lab was in chaos. There were five people present: Banner, Reed, Otto, Peter, and Doom.
Peter glared at Reed. Reed and Banner stood against each other, while Doom and Reed crossed paths as enemies. Otto was extremely exasperated with the other four.
Upon entering, Shiller was momentarily stunned. However, Peter, seeing him as a pillar of support and savior, rushed up and said to him, "God! Doctor Shiller, you finally arrived. You have no idea what this group of madmen has done!!!"
"Easy, Peter, slow down. I'm already aware of what happened with Banner and Reed earlier. It was just a small accident, no big deal. What's happened now?"
Peter held his forehead and said, "Doctor, compared to the current mess, that was indeed a minor accident."
Peter heaved a deep sigh, then started to recount to Shiller the incidents that had happened on Earth during Strange's confrontation with the Morbid.
The Hulk went berserk and started fighting with the Red Giant created by Adam, while at the same time, Peter was in the lab beating Reed.
The sight of Spider-Man fighting was indeed a once-in-a-millennium spectacle. Even so, Peter retained some semblance of sanity. After throwing a couple of punches at Reed, knocking him flat on the ground, he remembered the serious business at hand: stopping the big fight between the Red Giant and the Hulk.
Peter didn't rush forward to throw punches at the two big guys like the other Spider-Men. Instead, he went directly to the Stark Group's lab, fetched a large-scale freezing device, and froze the two giants together.
After the Red Giant and the Hulk cooled down and returned to their original forms, Banner was heartbroken and disappointed to find out that the Red Giant was Betty's father. Peter convinced him to go back to the lab.
Banner, after all, is a good man. Feeling guilty, he returned to the lab and ignored Reed's sarcasm. He focused on research on how to close the portal. Reed found it uninteresting to continue provoking and stopped. The two of them made some progress working together.
The theory that, under the impact of high-speed particle flow, dark matter particles will open a gateway to the Antimatter Universe at their corresponding coordinates in the Positive Matter Universe, has already been confirmed.
From this theory, it can be inferred that firstly, dark matter particles have corresponding coordinates in the Positive Matter Universe and secondly, a unidirectional impact can open a portal.
Therefore, the two of them speculated that particles in the Positive Matter Universe might also correspond to coordinates in the Dark Matter Universe, and if a high-speed particle flow impacts the corresponding Positive Matter particles, the transmission gate at the corresponding coordinate in the Dark Matter Universe should be closed.
Now that things have gotten this bad, there weren't many options left for the few people in the lab. They planned to try this out, but they needed to know the coordinates of the teleportation gate in the Dark Matter Universe first. Only then could they find the Positive Matter particles corresponding to it and finally close the gate.
Peter suggested they should let the people on the front line collect enough data for them, and then figure out the coordinates. But Reed felt that it would be too slow. He activated a Stark research observer robot near the teleportation gate.
He didn't plan on conducting any dangerous experiments, but wanted to observe the nature of the teleportation gate using this robot. Maybe he could guess the coordinates. Doctor Destruction, Doom, happened to notice the anomaly in the universe just in time.
Such a big event could not have escaped Doom's eye. As soon as he saw that strange teleportation gate, he noticed the Stark Group's observer robot wandering nearby.
Doom was clever. He speculated that it wasn't Stark's doing and traced the signal of the observer robot, finding that the source of the signal was the lab where Reed was located.
There was nothing else that Doom could not understand. It must be Reed messing around again. But just as Shiller speculated before, the two of them never got along. If Reed wanted to do something, Doom would never let him succeed.
Doom didn't know Reed was trying to close the teleportation gate. He thought Reed was trying to enlarge the gate to let more Insects into this universe. After all, in Doom's impression, it was Reed's old trick to do such unscrupulous things.
Doom knew time was of the essence. Without further confirmation, he wanted to quickly cut off Reed's line of sight and disrupt his actions. So, he directly emitted a shielding signal that not only blocked the observation but also caused that observer robot to lose control.
The observer robot rushed into the Dark Matter Universe teleportation gate channel and successfully entered the Dark Matter Universe. Doom realized something was wrong at the very last moment, removed the shielding signal, and restored the image of the observer robot. However, this caused a huge disaster.
The observer effect of the Positive Matter Universe was triggered. The robot from the Positive Matter Universe rushed into the Dark Matter Universe through the gate. The stare of Reed and Doom on the screen fixed the coordinates of the Dark Matter Universe in the robot's entry position.
When the exits of the gateways in the Positive Matter Universe and in the Dark Matter Universe were fixed at the same coordinates, the gateways became completely stable. Initially, the gateway that Banner and Reed opened was like a dart piercing through a piece of paper, a small hole between the two sides of the paper. But when the gate was completely fixed, it was like cutting a circle on the paper with scissors. Not only was the gate fully opened, but the whole paper also became extremely fragile.
Watching the violent particle collision storm shredding the Insect Race and everything else into pieces, Reed and Doom both realized the enormity of the disaster they had caused. So, Doom rushed to the lab hastily. What awaited him was a punch from Spider-Man.
Peter was truly infuriated by them. He used one percent of his strength to smash the robot sent by Doom into a heap of metal, forcing Doom to appear in person.
But what's more terrifying is, after Reed and Doom appeared in the same space, the first thing they did was not work together to rectify the disaster they had caused, but blame each other. They argued for a full half an hour without getting anything done.
Shiller listened calmly to Peter's account of the events. After a few seconds of reflection, he casually walked behind Reed, who was still busy arguing with Doom.
Suddenly, Reed felt a pat on his shoulder. He instinctively turned his head, and what appeared in his sight was Shiller's fist, as big as a sandbag.
"Bang!"
As Reed slowly fell to the ground, Shiller's face came into view behind him. Shiller shook his own fist, glanced down at Reed on the ground, and said.
"I take back my previous opinion. Sometimes, it's pretty good when superheroes throw punches."
