A green figure heavily landed on the Brooklyn Bridge, The Hulk appearing here was not a surprise. However, what was surprising was that soon, another red figure also hopped over.
"Red Hulk??" Matt exclaimed with wide eyes: "Why would he be here? And his actions... what is he looking for?"
"Isn't he a product of military experiments?" Erica threw a series of darts, fending off the nearest bat, she said, "If the military dared to show up, they would have been here a long time ago, why is he just now arriving?"
"That indicates, he might not have been sent by the military..." Matt squinted his eyes and continued, "Let's not worry about him for now, let's continue our plan."
Erica glanced back at the somewhat stable frontline and said, "Come with me, I've found a good sniping point, I'll take you there."
A few minutes later, Matt appeared on the top of a building, the tallest one nearby. Standing on the edge of the rooftop, he had a bird's eye view of the whole battlefield. At this point, a strangely shaped sniper rifle had been set up here.
Calling it a sniper rifle wasn't quite right, it looked more like a rocket launcher. And the ammunition it was using was not normal weapon ammunition, but the enchanted cross made by the vampire hunter Eric and other vampires.
The arriving Eric then explained, "We all know, Dracula is immortal, but he is also susceptible to certain enchanted items, falling into a brief paralytic state."
"While we can't kill him, we can seal him. If this cross is successfully nailed into his heart, at least he won't be able to boost the other vampires."
"His enhancement power might be related to moonlight. I've never seen him use this power but undoubtedly, this power is very strong. All vampires that have been exposed to moonlight have multiple times increased their physical strength and attack power."
"But, if Dracula is no longer providing enhancements, the police have freeze guns, and other superheroes have special abilities - holding out till tomorrow morning should be easy, when the vampires, fearing sunlight, retreat."
Matt was now standing next to the sniper rifle and said, "Fortunately, we prepared in advance. Decapitation plans always work the best."
After adjusting the sniper rifle's position, Matt began adjusting his breath, opening his inner eye. Gradually, outlines of everything appeared in his pitch-black view.
When teaching others, Matt had not forgotten to improve himself, the special ability he possessed - the "inner eye" was countless times stronger than an average person's vision.
When he concentrated, he became a human radar, every tiny detail within kilometers presented themselves in his mind.
Time gradually slowed down, one frame after another of still images appeared in Matt's mind.
As bats slowly opened their mouths, wear and tear on their fangs were clearly visible, a flash of light passed over the surface of the fangs, gradually transforming into bullets flying at high speed in mid-air.
The dark mark from the firing pin striking the bottom of the bullet deepened. As the black hair started flying, Jessica swooped across from the sky.
The bat, the bullet and the person - within a short frame, they cleared the path for the gunshot.
Behind the dark muzzle, Matt lightly pulled the trigger. The moment the cross shot out from the muzzle, time slowed down, but also zipped past quickly.
It passed by the edge of a bat's wing, grazed past a grenade, slipped through a superhero's hair, and nailed straight into Dracula's heart through the terrified faces of the vampires.
The red mist descended like a wilting red spider lily. Dracula fell straight down, in the last second he transformed into a bat and skewed towards another direction.
"Quickly, catch up to him!! Don't let him escape!!" Blade Runner Eric was the first to shout: "We must seal him, otherwise, the vampires will rise again!"
At that moment, the battlefield seemed to freeze, everybody's attention was focused on the giant red-lit bat.
The first to catch up was Otto, who was the closest to Dracula. Then came The Hulk and Lizard-
Man standing on the bridge, followed by Spider-Men and Jessica near the human defensive line. Along with Nightingale, Fungi Man, and the other young superheroes mixed with the police, and finally, the police themselves.
Due to the lengthy lead-up to the bat invasion, the majority of people received the news and hid in their homes.
Dracula seemed to be too injured to adjust his flying trajectory and followed the highway straight ahead. The areas he passed had nearly no housing or rugged terrain, leaving ample space for everyone to pursue.
George, who was driving at the end of the group in a police car, was somewhat puzzled. He poked his head out and looked at the large bat flying in the sky, "What's the deal with this Dracula vampire? He's injured but still glowing??"
"Uh, boss, maybe he can't turn it off? I read in a novel, the more special effects these monsters have the stronger they are..."
"That's because during battles, special effects can psychologically intimidate opponents." George frowned and said, "Running away while still glowing, isn't this an obvious target?"
At this point, he shook his head and said: "Forget it, these rats have never been that smart to start with, their boss probably isn't much better, let's continue the chase!"
