T-7 Days to Incident
#Ogologos High—Sometime During School Hours
“Hey! Have you girls heard?”
One girl whispered to a group of girls in her classroom during recess. All the heads quickly huddled together to listen. They were very keen on learning rumors and very diligent in spreading them like wildfire. No wonder they were the hub of all kinds of fearsome or juicy rumors. No one knew how they got their information. But this was not a very good sign. Before something significant was about to happen, namely a crime, this particular hub usually became active.
“What?” Another girl eagerly spoke in a low voice. The faces of the girls in the group were like bloodthirsty hyenas. They did not care if the information were true; all they knew was that someone was getting ‘destroyed’, and that did not, by any means, imply ‘justice served', but rather someone would be ‘unjustly put to place’.
The girl who spoke first looked at each of those rumor-hungry faces and smiled.
