"How is the situation at the Ministry?" Ethan asked Tonks in a low voice.
"It's serious!" Tonks replied hastily.
"Someone has to be held accountable for this. People led by Barty Crouch are blaming Minister Fudge. He may be out of luck."
Tonks analyzed the current situation with Ethan.
A faint smile appeared on Ethan's face; the moment he had been waiting for had finally come.
"Minister Fudge's situation is terrible, and even people in his camp are starting to abandon him," Tonks whispered.
"People are planning to elect Barty Crouch as Minister of Magic. They think the past few years have been enough."
"There is one more thing."
Speaking of this, Tonks hesitated, trying to decide whether to continue.
"What's wrong?" Ethan asked softly.
"Barty Crouch wants to hold you accountable because Minister Fudge personally promoted you."
"But your actions during the dementor riot left everyone without grounds, so they have temporarily let you off."
Tonks looked at Ethan's face, gritted her teeth, and said, "Ethan, you should resign from the Ministry of Magic. Barty Crouch has always looked down on you. Even if he doesn't find a reason this time, he will likely trouble you in the future."
It was difficult for Tonks to say these words. Although she felt she shouldn't interfere too much in Ethan's affairs, her concern for him forced her to speak.
"Thank you, Tonks." Ethan touched Tonks' face gently to express his gratitude. Her face quickly turned red from his touch.
"I have plans set, but thank you for your concern," Ethan said.
Hearing Tonks' words, Ethan nodded. She had already said what she needed to say, and Ethan himself should decide the rest.
The two exchanged a few more words when suddenly, a voice came from behind them.
"Sorry to interrupt."
They turned their heads and saw Dumbledore standing there.
"Don't worry, I didn't hear what you said when I came," Dumbledore said with a wink at Ethan and Tonks.
This made Tonks blush, and she bowed her head in embarrassment.
"Tonks, can I talk to Ethan alone?" Dumbledore asked.
"No problem."
Still shy, Tonks hurriedly stood up and left the medical room, leaving a private space for Ethan and Dumbledore.
"Ethan, thank you for protecting the students!"
Dumbledore said seriously, his first words expressing gratitude.
He knew how severe the consequences would have been if there had been a stampede.
"As a Hogwarts professor, it is my responsibility," Ethan replied seriously to Dumbledore.
"And Ethan, I noticed your assistant professor, Jake White. There seems to be some hidden identity, right?" Dumbledore's eyes were fixed on Ethan's, watching for subtle expressions.
"Yes, he is Sirius Black, who drank the Polyjuice Potion," Ethan admitted openly, knowing Sirius's identity would soon need to be revealed.
Dumbledore's expression flickered for a moment but quickly calmed.
"Ethan, can you tell me why you brought Sirius Black into Hogwarts?" Dumbledore asked seriously.
Ethan did not refuse and explained everything about Sirius Black, including that Sirius had signed an Unbreakable Vow with him.
Dumbledore's expression changed several times as Ethan spoke, finally returning to silence.
"I suspected the truth of this incident at the beginning," Dumbledore said in a low voice.
"I didn't expect the real traitor to be Peter." His expression was somewhat subtle.
"So, Ethan, when will you help Black clear his name?" Dumbledore asked.
"Soon," Ethan replied. "I plan to clear up the thirteen years of wrongful imprisonment."
Hearing this, Dumbledore nodded. Ethan had control over the situation and did not plan to intervene.
After discussing, Dumbledore informed Ethan about the Dementors.
His unprecedented power had expelled all Dementors from Hogwarts.
"I caught a Dementor and researched why they went mad. I found that their emotions were influenced by an extraordinary force I had never seen before, and I have no clues about it," Dumbledore said, puzzled. Despite his vast knowledge, this inexplicable energy stumped him.
Ethan and Dumbledore decided to put the matter on hold with no leads.
After discussing everything, Dumbledore said goodbye to Ethan.
Once Dumbledore left, Tonks re-entered the medical room excitedly.
She couldn't wait to tell Ethan that the headmaster had invited her to give a speech to the students. Hogwarts has a long tradition of inviting outstanding graduates to speak, and Tonks has always envied those who had the honor. Now, it was her turn, and she felt deeply honored.
"By the way, Dumbledore said I should see him after the speech!" Tonks said excitedly.
Hearing this, Ethan's face darkened. He knew this was Dumbledore's plan to recruit Tonks into the Order of the Phoenix. Remembering the tragic end Tonks faced after joining, and now that she was his girlfriend, Ethan wanted to change her fate.
"Tonks, if Dumbledore invites you to join any organization, you must not agree," Ethan said seriously.
Tonks nodded, sensing the importance of Ethan's words. She trusted that Ethan, her boyfriend, had her best interests at heart and agreed without much thought.
Then, Tonks chatted with Ethan about her speech. Ethan gave her plenty of advice, and soon, the medical room was filled with their laughter.
