From Huo Renyi's tales, Chi Cheng was under the impression that Huo Chenzhong shared quite an ill-fated relationship with his son. Yet, the Huo General before him now appeared as if he was prepared to submit to his knees and plead to the Han Clan for mercy.
"You must truly love your son, General Huo," Chi Cheng remarked kindly, subconsciously retrieving a peach fruit from a bowl placed in front of him. He began peeling the peach by hand, breaking off each piece and placing them in Han Xuelian's bowl. "Huo Renyi will be pleased to know that you are worried about him."
The Grandmaster slightly shifted his face from the hand his chin rested on, surprised that Chi Cheng was suddenly peeling fruit for him. Huo Chenzhong noticed the gesture but lowered his gaze a moment later again.
"I do love my son…" Huo Chenzhong admitted, setting his teacup down firmly on the table. "But the lad…I fear he hates me."
