Chapter 183 : Teaching Wandless Magic 2

If any of you read my book then you would also learn that there is a fourth element as well. I never explain that fourth element in the books but let me explain here. That fourth element is Magic Purity. "

Orion said and these few words brought everyone's attention back to Orion. 

Purity.

This word almost acted like the C work or the N-word in the wizarding world. While the pure blood flock there is non-existent blood supremacy while the light side of the wizarding world doesn't like this word at all. After all most of the light fraction is usually built with non-pure blood wizards.

There was a silence in the hall. The amazement of the class from Orion's previous action was slowly leaving as Orion's long pause brought pressure to them, even some naughty kids like the Twins reframe from making any jokes while all the professors were present there. 

Orion seeing their response just internally chuckles and after taking some time, he begins again. 

"Currently in the wizarding world, when people talk about Purity, at least here in Britain the first thing that comes to mind is the pure blood supremacy and all that the Nobel houses of Magical Britain promote.

There is one side that believes that this is all nonsense while the other side who are ready to die for it. 

I in particular though, do believe that the concept of purity exists..." Orion said and the last part drew quite a bit of grasp from others. 

Orion didn't wait a long time though and continued to talk.

"I do believe that the concept of Purity exists but not entirely how the blood supremacists believe in it. 

Let me try to explain...

A wizard's blood holds the key to access magical power. This is also a reason why some wizards are naturally born more powerful than others, for example, the likes of our own headmaster, or the dark lord.

Consider it a blood lottery. Where someone is born with powerful magic. This is what I consider Blood Purity. " Orion said and others looked relieved. But the kids from the nobel Houses didn't look so good. 

Especially students from Slytherin where most of the Pure Blood Kids go. And unknown to them, Dumbledore also gave a little nod at what Orion just said, because he too completely agrees that although blood supremacy is completely bullshit the concept of magical power lies in the blood exist.

And of course, Orion noticed this. 

"And thus I call it not Blood Purity but rather Magic Purity," Orion said.

"Now some people are just born with much more purity to their magic than others. If I have to give some example then it will be Professor Dumbledore here or even Rose. These people are born with much powerful magic from their birth.

Many of you might mistake the Purity of one magic to either how much magic one has or the the usage of light magic.

But that is not at all what I mean there. Magic Purity is not the use of light magic, even a dark wizard can have pure magic. Or to make it more clear, I would say that even a dark wizard can have high purity in his magic. 

Purity here doesn't refer to what kind of magic they use but rather how much pure chaos one magic contains. 

To explain this better consider magic as Milk. Consider this example.

Let's say light magic is vanilla flavour milk while dark magic is chocolate flavour milk. 

People present in the room right now were wondering why suddenly milk came into this, and why the boy was talking about different flavours of milk.

But they just went with it, no matter how big of a genius he is, Orion still is just 14 and more than that a complete foodie.

"All of us currently have impure magic, milk being mixed with water to increase its quantity. 

Those who are born with pure magic or high purity in their magic actually just have less concentration of water in their magic and more milk. 

Now replace water with unfiltered magic either passed down in our blood or we gain in our life. And replace milk with of course pure magic.

Now some will be asked why even introduce different flavours of milk if they don't matter here.

Well because they really don't matter, just like the flavour of Vanilla or Chocolate only changes the taste of the milk but not the quantity or quality of milk.

Dark Magic or Light Magic, does matter when it comes to the Purity of magic, the only thing which changes is the Nature of magic," Orion explains.

"Oh," Everyone looked dumbfounded, but soon it started to make sense to them. 

"Magic Purity or Blood Purity refers to how much of a magical gene once got from the origins of their magic. 

We wizards, our magic originates from the magical creatures, it is said that long long ago our ancestors made blood packs with some ancient magical creatures to gain magical power. 

The reason we humans don't have pure magic like some magical creatures is that we weren't exactly born with it in the first place. It is that ancient gene or that ancient blood running in your veins which can automatically draw magic from your surroundings to your magical core. Thus we can do magic." Orion said and let others digest this.

[Don't you think that you are going into too much depth with this ?] Merlin doesn't particularly care whether Orion shares this knowledge but still wants to know why he go on explaining all this in detail.

"Well this all will be in my next book anyway so there is no point hiding it now, explaining this early only will help them improve sooner rather than later. " Orion said.

[Oh and you are not worried about someone like Nick or death eaters using this all knowledge against you] Merlin had no other expression on his face, he was just curious about what Orion was thinking why doing this? 

Orion on the other hand just snorted, " Use it against me, as if. If they really use this against me then I would like to see how," Orion though didn't even care, he knew that no one gonna use this against him.

"Hmm, how do you know all of this," A student asked.

Orion just smiled at this and said, a lot of research and some nonconventional way to gather information, Orion didn't answer but just said that.

The students wanted to ask more but seeing Orion's face, he knew that he ain't getting answers to his question. 

"This all is bullshit, you think that we will accept anything you say you mud blood, "Malfoy said out open, and while some gasped at the language he use in front of all the professors, many of his lackey and other pure-blood wizards supported Malfoy.

Orion had to work really hard to stop the eye roll coming to him. But others could say anything, so Orion spoke, it's better that he talk for himself, that is the best way to establish a little but of authority.

So just when the professor where about to say something, Snape included. Orion spoke.

"Well you don't have to hear, this class is not even mandatory, if you don't wanna then you can just leave, no one gonna stop ya you know," Orion said off-handedly as he really didn't care whether those pure-blood fanatics stay in the class or not.

This immediately shut up Malfoy, even other students and professors were a little stunned at how Orion reacted. 

"Orion why are you letting that idiot belittle you like that," It was Rose of all people who spoke up. This sudden exclamation also stirs supporting voices from the Gryffindor side. 

As the common in the class grew, the Professor were about to interview but before that, Orion spoke.

"Alright alright, let's focus back on what we were talking about earlier shall we, and when it comes to Malfoy," Orion said with an off-handed look he wasn't taking anything seriously and looked at Malfoy at the end of the sentence.

There wasn't any ire on his face, there wasn't any emotion at all. 

" You can call me anything and honestly it doesn't matter to me. You know why !..." Orion said and paused letting others, those pure-blood kids and Malfoy himself ponder.

"It doesn't matter because you don't matter Malfoy. In my eyes, you are just a kid repeating whatever is taught to you by your parents and circle. You put no brain cells in work before opening your mouth and I will most likely burn my own if I put up a debate with you," Orion said and everyone shut up. 

There weren't many offensive words in Orion's sentence but what he said did shut up the pure-blood side, although the anger was clear in there faces. 

Orion saw that they wanted to say something in return, this time it was not just Malfoy who was looking for trouble but almost everyone in the Slytherin house, is there how defensive humans can get when someone challenges their pride? 

Strange right?

But before they could do anything Snape from the side stops them, clearly much harsher punishment will be coming their way but this has nothing to do with Orion.
