Everyone was amused by Guo Jinnian's words, but their laughter was mingled with a touch of sympathy. They were well aware of all the silent sacrifices she'd made these past years. It hadn't been easy for her at all.

Gu Hongwei gave a gentle smile, then bent down to pick up the candies on the ground. "Let's go and distribute these celebration candies to our staff. I guess they must be eagerly waiting."

Hearing this, Guo Jinnian was overjoyed. She cheerfully bade farewell to Tong Yaohui and Wen Yun, "Uncle Tong, Aunt Wen, you rest here for a while. We'll be back soon."

Since the two elders were the only ones in the room, she had made a point to bid them goodbye.

Walking hand in hand out of the office, Guo Jinnian and Gu Hongwei were greeted with cheers and blessings everywhere they went. Whether those blessings were genuine or not, she was genuinely happy.
