Itsuki was feeding some soup to Naruko, Satsuki and Karin while the three babies showed enjoyment on their faces.

Naruko was more profound as she always had a bright smile on her face, while Satsuki still had that blank face but he could see a hint of happiness in her. Karin also had a happy smile, as Uzumaki's were a bundle of positive energy and as long as you don't hurt them they won't do anything either.

And when he tapped her nose and made a bopping noise it made her smile. 

Itsuki could see envious glances from the table and he could see his disciples and Izumi staring at him.

Haku, Yugito, Hotaru and Izumi were more profound as they were pouting a little bit in jealousy.

Kimimaro was a little subtle but he still noticed some longing in his eyes, Itsuki smiled amusedly at the behaviour of the children. 

But he didn't mind at all, he was happy that they viewed him in such a manner, he didn't wish to brainwash them like the other villages did. Although both he and Shinobi villages have the same goal, their methods would always be different.

In Itsuki's case, he also wished to view them as family and wanted to develop a bond with them, it won't be a one-way bond but a two-way bond. And he wouldn't do any manipulation, as much as he likes to joke about manipulating the kids. Itsuki has never told them any lies and he was upfront about his needs.

He wants them for the Senju clan and wants them as his family.

He put some food into each of their bowls with a smile and looking at the intense look of Kushina he stuffed some meat into her mouth too. Which caused everyone to laugh a little.

Kushina was annoyed as she wanted him to feed her with love, not stuff her mouth with food. It wasn't romantic at all.

'Just wait, I'll make you pay tonight!' Kushina thought in her mind with venom.

Itsuki has already decided to hasten his plan to recruit (kidnap) Airi and Fuu. Nothing else, other than the fact that it didn't sit right with him to leave a baby in a place where they would most definitely not be appreciated.

He already knew how Airi and Fuu would be treated, so there was no need for him to just sit back and watch. And as much as he wanted to get the 3 siblings in a package, it seems he won't get his wish.

Temari might be mad at him or downright hate him, but to him, it doesn't matter. He might be a bit sad but at the end of the day, his family was much more important to him.

Sunagakure was an enemy of Konoha, and they were so downright disgusting that they planned to attack Konoha during the Chunin exams.

Others might try to reason this attack by blaming it on Orochimaru or Rasa, but he was a member of the Konoha Senju clan and Konoha comes first. He may not go out of his way to assassinate members of other villages because he most definitely could.

He could go to Kiri and assassinate Terumi Mei, Ao and other talented members of the village, and it would effectively crush Kiri.

But he won't, because that was not the kind of person he was. That was proven in the way he was planning on extracting the Tailed Beasts without killing their hosts. He could have taken the easier route by killing them and eliminating a Jonin-level threat to his village but he decided to let it go.

A major reason was ...he was strong enough to deal with the trouble.

And Chiyo and Ebisu were also nothing better, during wartime Chiyo didn't hesitate to poison small civilian villages near the land of fire to lure out White Fang and it resulted in her son and daughter-in-law perishing.

Well, she got what she deserved, and the audacity of this old bitch to claim vengeance against Sakumo. If their Sand bastards didn't initiate the war would their people have to die?

In the end, you can only blame yourself for being too greedy. 

If they used all their energy on developing their village or just agreed to become Vassals of Konoha then this wouldn't have happened. 

As for their pride? Is your pride more important than your family's well-being? But in the end, Sunagakure chose to be losers.

They barely had money to manage their village, he wondered why they dared to wage wars. Maybe it was their Daimyo because the Daimyo didn't want the Hidden villages to develop too much and thus they plunged them into war every few years, exhausting the Hidden villages so they wouldn't turn their fangs on the Daimyo's.

Politics was very complicated, and maybe the true reason for war was greed and insecurity.

To him, Konoha's prosperity comes first, thus taking Airi away either from a personal or political standpoint is beneficial for him.

He had already decided that when the time came, he would be taking both Airi and Fuu away from their respective villages.

These two villages don't deserve them and they can grow up in a place where they will be cherished.

He won't play tricks on them or outright manipulate them. He will be sincere to them and if in the end, they wish to leave and go back to their homeland then they can.

But not with the Tailed Beasts.

 Sorry, the things he Itsuki Senju brings back are all Senju clan property.

The Tailed Beasts were given by their Patriarch Hashirama in hopes of maintaining peace, and since the other villages broke this agreement then it would only be right for him as the current Senju Clan Patriarch to retrieve them.

Believe him he was just a debt collector...
