Octavian blinked at her as he stepped into the room, as if he didn't expect her to be eating at that moment. "Oh. You're back. I was worried..."
She smiled softly at him as the door closed. "I didn't stay in disguise very long today. How did the investigation go on your side?"
He sighed and sat down to her right, pushing a stray hair behind her ear as he sat down.
"Not good. All my leads went cold. But we will redouble efforts tomorrow, I'm sure we will catch the culprit. Tomorrow will be the results of the testing, as well. There wasn't a lot I could do today."
She smiled sympathetically at that. "Same here. Apparently the first day of being a secret spy doesn't involve a lot of spying."
Octavian smiled faintly at that and shook his head. He reached out and touched her hand with a soft smile. "...I'm glad that you're safe."
No doubt Octavian was happy that she hadn't done much spying today. He was, after all, very worried about her.
