An hour after dinner, Hazel returned to her bedroom accompanied by Tobias. The maids and guards were behind them in case they needed something or for protection.

Tonight they would be going back to sleeping in separate rooms as according to the court, it was not the set day where someone believed the chance of getting pregnant was high. 

"I would like to go back in the past and strangle the relative who thought it made sense for the king not to share a room with his wife. I should also talk with the kings that followed as none tried to change this. Not even my brute of a father," Tobias muttered, thinking this was his father's plan to punish him all along.
