I'm screwed

"That means this world is a whole lot more complicated than I thought," Oliver said aloud.

From the fanfictions he had read, if there was anything he had learned, it was that the existence of the X-Men, or mutants as a whole, made the world a hundred times more dangerous than it already was.

According to one of the authors, "it was as though the world was out to get them, and in the process of getting them, there was a lot of collateral damage."

He didn't know much about the dangers that plagued the mutants because those fanfictions almost always ended up being dropped before they reached those parts.

Those that did reach those parts simply targeted the source of the problem from the start and eliminated it. For this very reason, he knew that to solve most of the problems plaguing the mutants, he needed to kill John Sublime.

But that was all he knew. He didn't know who the guy was, his powers, or how he was the cause of a majority of the mutant problems. As for the Avengers, he knew their greatest threats were shared between Thanos and Kang the Conqueror.

He knew about Thanos from the movies, but comic fans said that Thanos was nerfed in the movies, and there was no way of knowing if this world followed the movies or the comics.

Kang the Conqueror was a being he truly knew nothing about. He did know Kang was a master of time, but as for how he operated, he had no idea.

He didn't know what made Kang a villain or what other powers he had apart from mastering time travel.

In basic terms, he was stuck in a realm with people who could snap him out of existence, kill him again as soon as he reincarnated, or possibly kill him with a punch, and all he had was the Primagen.

While Oliver walked seemingly aimlessly, he also searched for the nearest realtor he could find. He needed to get a roof over his head.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, a man stood on the roof of a tall building, looking down at the streets.

"Turns out he wasn't really lying when he said he would appear out of nowhere," the man said.

"At least we have confirmed the legends then. His majesty was truly born from the universe," said a feminine voice.

Turning back, the man saw a young woman dressed in a purple outfit. Her attire didn't fit the standards of the modern world and even felt alien.

The man, however, was dressed in relatively normal clothes, although his outfit looked more like a uniform, a combat uniform with a large star-shaped emblem on it.

"Let's go," the man said before vanishing into thin air.

Following him, the woman quite literally faded into nothingness. Both vanished as though they were never there, and no one would ever know they had been there.

Back on the ground and minding his own business, Oliver had finally found a good realtor. However, the prices he was seeing were not what he expected.

America was known for its expensive cost of living, and the fact that practically none, or more accurately only a select few, in his generation could afford a house. But the prices he was seeing were unexpectedly low.
