On the coast

On the top of a beach where nothing but the palm fronds gently waving in the wind a man was slowly pushed onto the beach

That man was me.

Feeling the sand seep through the cracks of my mouth, I abruptly opened my eyes and got up from my face down position on the sand.

Spitting what little sand made it into my hand my eye twitched as I found out that I was face first in a pile of sandz the first thing I saw was a palm tree.

And seeing that when I looked around there was nothing but the ocean and clouds lapping at my ankles, I sighed.

'From a forest to a cave to a ruined kingdom to a desert straight to a beach huh?'

It really told me how chaotic and crazy the respawn worked since I haven't found any sort of pattern to it.

'But thank God that pain is over'

Patting my chest the memory of immense heat travelling through my body like the feeling of warm soup going down my throat but a thousand times hotter, I slowly got up.

Patting down the sand from my body I looked around the place with no wildlife in sight.

'But despite that where am I?'

Learning from my previous experience in the caves that civilization was usually much closer than I thought, the first idea on my mind was to find out where the hell I was.

And using the replenished malaise reserves within my body I briefly influenced my leg muscles to jump up as high as possible.

Charging up then jumping again, I repeated those actions several times right before looking down.

'...'

Quickly assessing my surroundings my eye twitched.

'Well that's fucking swell'

Blinking several times I confirmed the reality in front of my eyes was the truth and I wasn't hallucinating.

If anything the magic eyes I had, just made it abundantly clear to me that besides some rather large insects and crustaceans the only other life forms on this island was me and the trees.

'Now that I think about it, I really don't have good experience with trees.'

Realising by now that every time I died and was transported somewhere it was around a form of plant life my face twitched.

I mean, the fact that the Transformed desert with crimson trees literally made it so that I died didn't help in the slightest although that could be attributed to the Awakened Ice bow.

So it's probably a stretch but now I'm just going to hate trees.

I mean what could they do to me? Send transdimensional beings to smite me from where I stand?

Anyways.

Since I was on a beach there was an idle hope that there would be some form of civilization like some aboriginal tribe of sorts.

But I guess I was being to optimistic when I was stranded in the middle of an island in the middle of nowhere.

'...Should I kill myself?'

Pondering over the fact that I could respawn in any other part of the world I inevitably put off that fact.

'I should probably just restock safely first'

Since all of my weapons were basically all broken including a few bows in less than splendid condition, I sighed.

'Well no use in mulling over it'

Rolling up my non existent sleeves I started to punch the trees.

Punching a tree every follow up punch resulted in the oh so familiar form of wood breaking apart into a floating stump the size of my head I instinctively widened my palm and absorbed the item into my inventory.

Collecting the wood I followed up by lightly tapping the tree to allow gravity to do it's thing.

Watching it fall down I grinned slightly when it broke apart into uneven sections of wood where the only thing I needed to do was just break apart some of the larger chunks.

'I guess the saying that experience beats age is true'

Chuckling to myself my body felt incredibly antsy I suddenly infused a large wave of malaise into the palm of my hand and swiped at my surroundings.

Sending out annornage arc of destructive light which consumed almost anything in its path the trees surrounding me in a cone shape were suddenly transformed into two separate beings.

A stump and a glorified log covered in leaves.

Watching everything break apart upon falling onto the ground due to the nature of gravity doing it's thing although I should've felt satisfied in watching the cone of trees fall apart.

But instead, the feeling of antsiness in my body only grew.

Gritting my teeth I continued to walk in the small forest.

Sending out a few concentrated malaise blasts here and there to cut down the few remaining trees on the island I saw that instead of life hiding within the trees I saw that no life lives within the trees.

Breathing heavier now the itchy feeling which crawled up the base of my spine and assaulted my nerves stayed despite cutting down all the trees... I tried to ignore it.

Shaking my head desperately I cracked my neck and immediately started to lash out against the trees.

'Ohhh... I really am sorry trees, but you are literally the only thing I can hit on this island right now'

Feeling slightly bad for the trees that had done nothing but grow slowly on this island for the course of hundreds of years I continued to influct my beatdown.

Converting the trees into logs I noted how many different tvarieties of trees there were on this island.

Ranging from Palm trees, Oak trees and the really hard to recognize Birch trees which had appeared ASA form of kindling.

'Very sorry Birch Tree, but you were just in the qay'

For some reason praying for the Birch Tree which was the unlucky tree to receive a blast of infective power face on, I continued on my collecting spree until there was nothing left apart from the sticks and leaves remaining from the trees I had just cut down.

'Huh... Deforestation for the win I guess?'

Jokingly thinking that statement I scratched the back of my head and looked into my inventory to grab a few things.

'God damnit why the hell amI so itchy?'

Scratching the itch which seemed to never go away, several saplings appeared in my hands.

'Now sorry little baby trees that I have murdered all of your parents onesidedly and without remorse but I shall proudly say that they were formidable punching bags'

Throwing the tree saplings sporadically on the empty grass.

Thankfully, through some sort of dark magic from beyond this mortal plain, they stood upright and just rooted themselves into the earth all the while the patches of grass tried to proliferate into the unclaimed territory.

Well... They would if I didn't have so many bones in my inventory that could be turned into bonemeal which could transform the plants into their fully grown adult forms.

'Oh wonderful green trees that I had murdered for some reason, to your children I offer the finest of meals so that they could go on to grow into fine young adul- GOD FUCKING DAMN IT WHY THE HELL AM I SO ITCHY!!!?!?"

Angrily scratching at the back of my head due to the itch which seemed to burrow deep into my brain my eyes glowed as they searched around for what the hell was making me itch so.

Trying to find out what the hell was the cause of my nerves but not knowing where to start I desperately ignored it and began digging downwards in search of precious materials to help build the weapons I would oh so dearly miss.

'Like Holy Hell, I think that unless I get a sword to scratch my head I think I'm going to go insane.'

I looked at the palm of my hand which had transformed from the fleshy body I was uses to using into the not so fleshy but all the more ceramicist body that I had become.

'Actually, scratch that, I think I'm already going insane due to my body becoming like a dolls'

'Hell, how does my body even feel???? So many questionssss'

Dragging at my face, I felt that unless I started to distract my mind from other things I would actually go insane.

So.

As I skipped over the new frosty item which had appeared in my inventory rather recently.

I grabbed a log and instantly transformed it into the block that we all know and love.

A crafting table.

Well I guess the craftable in the crafting bench/ table were rather useless since I could break stone with my bare hands.

But anything really to save my sanity.

At the least I'll be collecting items this way.

'...God fucking damn I'm already going crazy'

Realising that fact I quickly started to dig straight down away from the surface.

Completely unaware of the row upon row of eyes staring down at me from the depths of the ocean

On a random ship off the coast

"Are all the supplies checked Shipwright?" A voice was emitted from the front of the chain which was currently facing away from the Shipwright carrying a scroll.

"Yes captain"

"How much food do we got for the sailing?" Voice drawling out the last few parts a gloved hand covered in immense tear caused by sea based environments waved carelessly.

"About three months worth of food and water, five if we ration"

Answering resolutely an amused voice responded.

"Good"

Booted leg tapping against the wooden floorboards of the captains quarters the figure sat on the chair heaved themself.

"Hup!"

Red coat flourishing with a swirl the two legs carried the self confident figure forwards.

"Are we ready Boatswain?"

"Yes!"

"Well there's no harm in going now is it?" Black eye gleaming underneath their wide hat a bearded face Grinned cheekily as they slowly walked towards the prow of the boat.

Unsheathing their blade the silver inlaid cutlass gleamed underneath the sunlight.

"Set sail Friends! Set a course to the Ocean Temple!"

Sails unfurling in the wind they furled outwards all the while the groan of the anchor being dredged up rang out from within the ship.

Black eyepatch appearing in the grin the sea waves splashed against the ship and sending bits of sea foam to cascade into their long brown curled locks a wicked smile split their mouth into two.

"The Spielkrieg is setting sail!"

Shouting loudly into the white clouds above the sun reflected on the water to reveal the madly grinning figure of Gunpowder Garry.

Beard still smoking from his last explosion a dash of flame escaped the plume of their hat.
