In hindsight.
After entering the Adventurer's guild and enlisting as an adventurer I should've gone to the library first thing.
But then again, I thought that the base of this world was the three games, Terraria, Minecraft and Dead cells as I had all of these powers.
But because of the previous words Katrina had spoken after taking my blood, I wasn't so sure anymore.
I also was distracted with the fact that I had to get rid of my items in the Merchant's guild, which reminds me that I have to check whether or not that old man is okay.
Have to make sure that my coin pig is okay.
Walking to where Katrina had pointed me to, I looked around with active eyes.
'I guess I didn't really have any time or any certain need to go to the library before'
Scratching my head, I weaved through the slowly thinning out crowd.
'But I guess I have both the Goblin Invasion and the Eye of Cthulhu to thank for that'
Stopping in front of the building with a large label on top of it dubbed the [City library] I stepped up its many steps and entered the building.
And instantly was greeted with a cold wind to the face followed by a... familiar sight in front of me.
Quietly closing the door as I entered I glanced at the counter where a woman was sitting quietly while reading a book who only gave me a passing glance.
"Excuse me"
"Martial Arts history, simple Martial Arts and other Martial Arts related things are over there" Pointing at some place on the left side where people with outfits similar to mine were gathered.
"Now go away and--
"Wait" Stopping her in her tracks she annoyedly looked at me.
"What?"
"I'm looking for general history, the history of this world regarding things a couple years past"
Looking at me suspiciously now, she closed her book and asked. "What's it to you?"
Seeing that this was a question I honestly answered "I need to confirm something, and the history section is my best bet"
Eyes slightly widening the woman adjusted her glasses and stared at me, before shrugging her shoulders and opening her book again.
Thumbing at the right side of the library where barely anyone was at she spoke.
"I don't know why you want to know history when it doesn't help you in the slightest, and I don't think you can learn anything important in there so go over there, Right side shelves numbered 2 and 3 should have what you're looking for"
"Thanks" Bowing to her I walked to the shelves.
Unaware of the strange stare at my back, the woman sitting there touching something that looked like a radio.
---
This world was called Axia.
It was a strange mixture of three games, them being Minecraft, Terraria and Dead Cells.
And it somehow mixed the lore of all three of these worlds stupidly well.
The Minecraft Franchise had several things known about it, except that the Stronghold containing the portal to the end hadn't been discovered yet.
And even if it was, I doubted that anyone could even open the portal to it considering that they didn't even know how to make a proper portal to the Nether, Hell being a different story.
Having to briefly create portals to the Nether with single use Ruined Portals doesn't seem like they actually made a static way to the Nether yet.
The method was simple, but they probably won't ever enter or discover the proper way to the Nether as besides having an abundance in rare materials not found in Axia.
It was a dangerous place similar to hell that was incredibly barren.
They hadn't seem to have found the things called Warped or Crimson forests, Soul sand, Nether fortress and Bastions yet as the only descriptions talked about the Netherack and the lava lakes.
Zombie Pigmen being the only creatures they had discovered before having to escape due to the heat.
The portal had by then closed and no further expeditions to the Nether have been launched.
So with the portal to the Nether closed, the portal to the End, home of the Ender men has thus stayed closed.
Closing that book.
[History of the Nether]
I opened another.
[The Villager and Illager war]
A strange book to be sure.
But it was a great one filled with information nonetheless.
The Villagers and Illagers are a people with unnaturally big noses and bald heads, including the females but they weren't one to be looked down upon.
As they were rich bastards, trading with only rare gems called emeralds.
And don't even think about robbing them as both the Villagers and Illagers, despite their stupid looking faces were incredibly smart.
The Villagers as they called themselves dabbled in Magic and had incredible success in it, creating several things they called golems that could rip apart a man in half with ease.
Illagers, their pale counterpart however dabbled in the Occult, creating fleshy abominations, summoned ghosts and modified their bodies to become even more powerful.
And with their dabbling in the occult the Illagers are naturally Ill dispositioned and thus hated mostly everything.
So starting things off with a raid, the battle of Villagers with the help of their mechanical brethren and the Illagers and their fleshy brethren had begun.
And had lasted until with a never ending battle happening between them.
Closing that book with a surprised look n my face I pondered about what just had happened inside the book....
'...'
I should continue reading.
Grabbing another book off the tall stack on the side I opened the [Kingdom of the Malaise]
The Dead Cells franchise was based on a thing called the Malaise inside a kingdom.
The kingdom being a powerful naval country that if given enough time could become one of the few Empires in the world.
If not for the Malaise.
Some sort of plague that was near impossible to end had infected the entire kingdom of origin despite their best efforts.
The entire island the kingdom was inhabited on, getting infected by this Malaise in it's entirety.
The royal family being no safer despite having the best defense in the kingdom.
That was because the Malaise wasn't just some sort of ordinary plague.
It was one that had two results.
Death for the lucky.
And Turning.
Turning into monsters to be exact.
And thus the entire kingdom fell under the effects of the malaise despite being incredibly powerful.
Because the Malaise wasn't it's only problem.
It was being attacked.
By a war mongering King who was on the verge of becoming an Emperor.
Giving an order for surrender and a demand for the Kingdom's most powerful treasure.
The Kingdom of course fell, due to several factors including the Malaise, Pirates hoping for gold and the invading kingdom.
But with it, it took the War mongering king down with them.
The Kingdom that war mongerer made quickly fell apart without his leadership and Iron fist, and was reabsorbed by the subordinate kingdoms.
The King of this kingdom...
My eyes widened.
It was the so called foolish, cowardly, stupid, idiotic and terrible King, Alexander Dara Chelsea.
