Ch.74

Milotic immediately used Rain Dance and Aqua Ring as Espathra used Light Screen and Agility. Then both charged up thier attack moves at the same time. Espathra immediately released a Psychic as the invisible energy wreaked havoc on Milotic's body. 

At the same time, Milotic released a Scald at Espathra, who could not dodge since they were focusing on using Psychic. Espathra cried out in pain as the scolding hot water crashed into their body, while Milotic was wincing in pain from the attack. However, the Aqua Ring combined with the rain storm was quickly healing the damage done to her. 

Geeta and Espathra noticed this with annoyed faces, Espathra then charged at Milotic with Flying Type energy surrounding them. Milotic then released Ice Beam which Espathra who was running at top speed couldn't dodge. Espathra cried out in pain, but pushed through and crashed into Milotic using Brave Bird. 

Milotic was sent flying back a few feet from the impact while crying out in pain. However, Espathra was looking more than slightly damaged now as the move did recoil damage to Espathra. Then Milotic quickly charged up a Surf, as Espathra charged up a Hyper Beam. 

Milotic released the Surf which exploded outward in all directions of her. Right as the move was about to reach Espathra they released the Hyper Beam which blasted through the Surf toward Milotic. However, Milotic was able to move away just in time as the move struck the invisible barrier breaking the first layer. 

The Surf crashed into Espathra who cried out in pain, but the noise was drowned out as they were covered in the several dozen feet of water. After the water drained we all saw Espathra who was barely standing looking ready to collapse. Geeta then withdrew Espathra before they could receive more damage. 

The crowd was cheering like crazy as Geeta was being easily beaten back. Making my abilities soar in their eyes, while they all were very excited for my battle with Lance. Geeta then sent out her next Pokémon, Dragapult. While this was happening Milotic was healing rather quickly from the damages she suffered earlier. 

Right after Dragapult appeared, Milotic used Ice Beam. Dragapult used Dragon Dance and Agility. Dragapult cried out in pain as the attack struck them shimmering in the light, showing their Ghost Type side. Milotic then quickly charged up another Ice Beam sending it to Dragapult. 

This time Dragapult dodged the move after using Agility. Then Dragapult used Thunder whose power was increased due to the Rain Storm above. With a crack of thunder, a huge bolt of lightning crashed into the ground right next to Milotic who barely managed to dodge the strike. However, the Aqua Ring caught the attack and transferred the current to Milotic who cried out in pain as the electricity surged through her body. 

Dragapult didn't give her time to recover, by quickly charging up a Thunderbolt and sending it toward Milotic. Milotic seeing this used Mirror Coat which she just finished as the Thunderbolt struck her. And instead of damaging her, Mirror Coat absorbed the attack. Then sent the attack back to Dragapult with double the power. 

Dragapult made a surprised noise as the Thunderbolt was sent flying toward them. They had no time to dodge the attack as the Thunderbolt struck them. Dragapult cried out in pain as the electricity coarse through their body. Milotic then followed up with an Ice Beam again. 

Dragapult growled and sent another Thunder at Milotic. Both attacks were released at the same time. With both striking the other at the same time, both Pokémon cried out in pain. Milotic had a small seizure as she collapsed on the ground but picked herself up with electrical burns across her body. 

Dragapult fell to the ground too, and we could see they were on their last leg with heavy frost burns across their body. Geeta then withdrew Dragapult as Milotic used Rain Dance again to keep it going right before she withdrew Dragapult. 

Geeta then sent out her last Pokémon and ace, Kingambit. The Pokémon came out and stood there looking around with a hard look. Which then landed on Milotic as he stared at her with annoyance. The battle started right after as Kingambit used Sword Dance and Iron Defense. 

Milotic immediately used Aqua Ring to keep it going still, then charged up a Scald. Milotic released the Scald at Kingambit who ducked and used the giant sword on his head to split the attack in two. Kingambit then appeared in front of Milotic like they teleported. 

Kingambit slashed out with the sword on his head striking Milotic in the side making her cry out and fly back a few feet. Kingambit then charged her giving her no time to recover, as Miltoic charged up her next move. Milotic swung her tail at Kingambit using Aqua Tail. 

Kingambit blocked the swing with his sword as his move clashed with hers. Then a small explosion occurred as both Pokémon flew back from the two attacks being equal in power. Kingambit then charged Milotic once again, and Milotic released a Hydro Cannon right as Kingambit closed the distance. 

Kingambit smashed his head into Milotic using Iron Head right as Milotic released the Hydro Cannon. The Hydro Cannon smashed into Kingambit who cried out in pain and was sent flying back into the invisible barrier. Kingambit then fell to the ground and picked himself up looking decently damaged, while Milotic was breathing heavily as she was running out of stamina. 

Kingambit then rushed Milotic again, as Milotic released her last move using the rest of her energy as she collapsed and barely managed to stand afterward. Milotic released a Surf which combined with the rain storm exploded outward. Kingambit tried to cancel their move to use Protect but didn't manage to in time. 

The Surf crashed into him as Kingambit was swept under the wave. Once the water was drained, with Milotic ready to collapse, we saw Kingambit standing there with one arm limp. Kingambit stared at Milotic with anger and respect, and then Geeta sighed before withdrawing her last Pokémon. 

The crowd began cheering my name once again seeing me have won the battle. Geeta and I then walked over to one another shaking hands. Then we waved to the crowd before heading to the Pokémon Center. About ten minutes later my two Pokémon were handed back to me, while Geeta had to wait long since most of her team needed healing. 

I then headed to the interview area, where they asked me many questions regarding the fight. If I had a difficult time what I think of the other battles and competitors. Finally, I was done as Geeta arrived and began getting questioned like I just did. Then I found my family and Cynthia's family waiting for me outside. 

"Daddy!" little Blaine said holding out his arms to me as I took him from Cynthia hugging him. 

"Did you like my battle?" I ask him with a smile as he nods his head enthusiastically. 

"Yeah!!" little Blaine says as everyone is smiling at his excitement. 

We all then spent the rest of the day together getting some dinner and celebrating both Cynthia and my victory moving on to the next round. The following morning, once again Cynthia and I left early to do some more interviews about today's matches and what we thought the outcomes would be. 

Then we all headed to the waiting area for competitors in the arena. Finally, they announced who would move on with no battle today. The random person they chose to move on was Cynthia. As for the first battle it was between Leon and Lance, Cynthia headed up to our family as I stayed behind. 

Lance and Leon headed out as Steven and I stayed behind waiting for our battle next. We watched the TV screen showing the battle outside. There we saw Leon and Lance battling. Lance was giving it his all, but ultimately lost to Leon who only lost three of his team members again before winning. 

Then there was a 'halftime show' much like the American football from my past life. They had one of the most current popular singers come out and do a small concert. Then there was an interview on the field between both Lance and Leon about their battle for everyone to watch live. 

Finally, after an hour, it was time for Steven and I to have our battle. We walked out while waving at the crowd who was cheering out names. I smiled at my family especially waving at them longer. Then the referee did his little talk about sportsmanship and the rules, just to show the league is serious about the rules. Steven and I shook hands before walking to our spots.

I once again sent out Mamoswine as my opening Pokémon as he stomped the ground and cried out showing off at his entrance. While Steven sent out Aggron who like Mamoswine stomped the ground roar at him in a challenge. The battle quickly started right after we sent out our two Pokémon. 

Mamoswine quickly used Amnesia and then Mist, followed by Hail making a small storm appear with large chunks of ice raining down. They bounced against Mamoswine but did nothing due to his type. While Aggron grunted as the hail peppered him damaging him slowly. 

Aggron used Iron Defense then let out a Screech which made Mamoswine wince and shiver, but didn't lower his defense due to the small mist surrounding his body. Aggron then sent a blast of fire toward Mamoswine. Mamoswine charged toward Aggron using High Horsepower. 

The Fire Blast struck Mamoswine who just grunted in pain as the attack exploded on his face. However, it didn't do much damage even being supereffective, due to Mamswine's thick fat ability. Mamoswine then struck Aggron lifting him up with his tusks before slamming him on the ground. 

Aggron cried out in pain as Mamoswine slammed him into the ground. Mamoswine then quickly reared up about to use Earthquake. However, Aggron used Iron Tail to strike Mamoswine's rear leg making him buckle and cancel his move. Mamoswine with an annoyed growl bites Aggron using Ice Fang making Aggron cry out. 

Then Aggron used Metal Claw to slash into Mamoswine's side making Mamoswine cry out in pain and release Aggron. Aggron then used Brick Break striking out toward Mamoswine. Mamoswine blocked the attack using his one tusk, which cracked from the power but managed to stay intact. 

Mamoswine then sent Aggron stumbling back a few feet after tossing him back. Mamoswine then reared up and slammed the ground before Aggron could react. The Earthquake struck Aggron who cried out as the energy destroyed his insides. Aggron then fell to his knees and slowly pushed himself up. 

Mamoswine then charged him using High Horsepower again. Mamoswine slammed into Aggron and sent him flying back into the invisible barrier. Aggron slammed into the barrier, before collapsing on the ground and remained unmoving. Mamoswine let out a triumphant cry and stomped the ground, as Steven withdrew Aggron. 

Steven then sent out his next Pokémon, Claydol who made a weird noise after appearing. This Pokémon was very disturbing to look at, but I just shook my head as Mamoswine and Claydol prepared to battle.
