Under such conditions, Christopher Robinson, looking at the wilted yellow leaves through the screen window, had his lit cigarette taken away just as it ignited. As he turned around, Amelia Cobb handed him a cup of clear tea: "Isn't it time to start taking care of your health?"

Christopher Robinson took the teacup and watched as Amelia discarded the cigarette butt into the ashtray and extinguished it with half a cup of tea.

"Just in time."

"What's the first thing to do in maintaining good health?" she asked, while refilling her own tea, addressing Christopher.
