Hae-won's memory about the previous night was a bit foggy but he could somehow recall an image of Baek-Hyun calling him 'Hyung'.
"That must've been a dream." He concluded and proceeded to brush his teeth and then, took a bath. But his head kept vibrating due to the ache. "I should probably make myself an hangover soup."
Getting out of his room, he immediately came face to face with Baek-Hyun and another memory hit him. It was the scene of Baek-Hyun kissing his hand. He blushed.
"Good … " before Baek-Hyun could greet him, he ran back to his room and slammed the door shut.
'What was that? How did that happen?'
He let out a breath and calmed himself down. No matter what, he couldn't believe the things he was remembering. Baek-Hyun would never be so gentle and caring. He had no reason to be.
He slowly opened his door and walked out but Baek-Hyun wasn't in sight. Seeing this, he let out a sigh of relief, only to be nudged on the cheek by a canned soda.
"For your hangover." Baek-Hyun said and he screamed in fright.
"Ah!" He stepped back and almost fell but Baek-Hyun caught him.
"Hey, are you okay?" He asked but Hae-won kept looking away.
"Um, ye… yeah. I'm okay." He said and tried to get out of Baek-Hyun's hold but he held on tightly. "Can… Can you let go? I… I need to… "
"Why are you still avoiding me?" Baek-Hyun suddenly asked.
"What? I'm not avoiding you." Hae-won said while avoiding his gaze. It was very evident that he was avoiding him.
"Hyung." Baek-Hyun called and Hae-won froze. He turned to him.
"What did you say?"
"I called you Hyung. We said we'd start over, didn't we?"
Hae-won blinked in disbelief. So it wasn't his imagination?
"Wait, hold on a sec. I think my head is spinning." He said but Baek-Hyun still didn't let go.
"All the more reason I should hold on to you. What if you fall?"
Hae-won was confused. His so-called imagination really did happen and Baek-Hyun was acting nice. Too nice in fact.
'What is going on?' he thought, staring into Baek-Hyun's eyes. They were filled with affection for him? When did that happen?
"Hyung, I… "
Just then, the door opened and Woo-Bin walked in. Seeing this scene, he asked with a smirk,
"How fast did you two develop while I was away?" They both turned to him.
"Woo-Bin?" He was smirking in a knowing way and Hae-won rushed out of Baek-Hyun's arms.
Baek-Hyun saw this and looked down at his hand. He was always trying to get away from him. Maybe he should've said those things when he was in a clear state of mind. That way, he wouldn't forget.
"Woo-Bin, you're back?" Hae-won asked, awkwardly rubbing his bare arm.
"As you can see." Woo-Bin said and glanced over at Baek-Hyun. The two were acting distant. Did nothing happen?
"How come you came back so early and why didn't you call? I would've picked you up at the airport." Baek-Hyun asked, walking towards him.
"Oh well, the shoot ended earlier and I wanted to surprise you." Woo-Bin responded and flew towards Hae-won, who was just trying to escape any unnecessary questions. "Got you!" He hugged Hae-won and rubbed their cheeks together.
"Hey."
"What? Were you planning to sneak away without giving me a proper greeting?"
"That's not it. I… " he couldn't come up with any excuse and he couldn't look him in the eye either. Not after receiving 'that' as a gift from him.
"Well, that doesn't matter now. I missed Sun-bae's cooking and I'm hungry." He said.
"You haven't had breakfast yet?" Hae-won asked, finally looking at his face.
"Nope. I wanted to come back as fast as I could so that I wouldn't miss having breakfast with you."
"Oh but I haven't cooked anything yet."
"Oh?" He glanced over to the kitchen. "That's unusual. I could've sworn you would've cooked by now."
"Well, I drank too much last night and woke up with a serious hangover so I haven't been able to do anything this morning." Woo-Bin saw the canned soda in Baek-Hyun's hand and quickly understood what that was for. "Sorry."
"Uh?" He looked at Hae-won. "Why are you apologising? I didn't say that to make you apologise." He said and shook his head. "Well, since Sun-bae isn't feeling too well. I don't want to pressure you. Let's eat out instead."
"I'm already feeling better though. I can just cook a simple breakfast. It's not a problem." He said and Woo-Bin stared at him.
Baek-Hyun, who had been silent the whole time, stared at these two that were glued by the hip and he couldn't help but furrow his eyebrows. Honestly, he didn't know what was wrong with him.
He knew he didn't like them getting too close but he also didn't know the exact reason. Was it because of Hae-won or Woo-Bin? They both had one role in his life and an important meaning and if he was asked to choose then… Who would he choose?
He leaned on the wall and watched as they interacted and talked. Hae-won wasn't all that stiff while talking to Woo-Bin, compared to how he used to act with him and Woo-Bin, he was always making body contact with Hae-won, like he didn't want them to be apart or something.
In conclusion, their bond was strong and the skinship between them was excess.
'This much skinship, I shouldn't be jealous because Woo-Bin and I share as much skinship. But for Hyung… ' he frowned.
Hae-won went to the fridge, hoping to whip up some bacon and eggs but he discovered the fridge was empty. When last did he go grocery shopping?
"What's wrong, Sun-bae?" Woo-Bin asked and he turned to him.
"Well, we're out of food supplies." He said.
"Ah, that's great. We can go out to eat and after that, we'll go shopping. How's that?" He suggested with a hearty smile but Hae-won shook his head.
"We can't do that. You just got off the plane and your week was hectic. I wouldn't want to bother a guy who's supposed to be resting." He said.
"Awn, my Sun-bae is as considerate as ever." He lightly bumped their heads together. "But don't worry about me, I usually don't get jet lagged and I rested plenty on the plane so, let's go out to eat."
"What if you get recognized?"
"My fans probably think I'm still at Jeju island since the end of the shoot hasn't been announced yet." He said and looked down at his honest worried expression. "Seriously, Sun-bae, you worry too much. But I also like that about you so keep worrying about me." He snickered and rubbed his head.
Baek-Hyun cleared his throat and they both turned to him.
He didn't appreciate that they were having this conversation without him but he was not that petty to get angry over it.
"Let's just go out to eat." He said.
Thank you lovedog_16 for gifting me two golden tickets. I really appreciate it.
