"A den?" Haruto asked after a while, his face red from the accusation.
"What are you talking about?"
Haruto continued to feign innocence, but June wouldn't be fooled.
He already had a hunch that his childhood friend didn't have such an innocent business. He was way too rich and had way too many connections for someone who was just a 'producer' and a 'restaurant owner.'
"You had me fooled there for a moment," June said. "But I know better than anybody else."
Haruto smirked. "And what is it that you know?"
"This restaurant is just a facade," June claimed.
"You don't have any customers despite it being a bustling Saturday afternoon."
Haruto leaned against the back of his wheelchair. "What if we were just closed?"
"That still doesn't explain why you don't have an 'open' sign at the front. You claimed to have closed it off when we met, but I beg to differ. This place is not a restaurant. It's a meeting place."
