"Baymax is willing to leave with Peter."
After wandering alone in the cosmos for two years, Baymax longed for the companionship he once had. Although Peter Quill in front of him seemed a bit dim-witted, Baymax didn't mind making some sacrifices to take care of this simple-minded guy.
So, when Star-Lord extended his invitation, Baymax agreed without any hesitation.
"Uh... you agreed so quickly. Aren't you going to reconsider? Following Star-Lord will involve many difficulties and dangers. Are you sure you won't regret it?" Star-Lord didn't expect Baymax to accept the offer so readily. He had made the invitation half-jokingly, expecting to have Baymax as his henchman in the future. But things went much smoother than he imagined.
"No need to think about it. Baymax has no regrets. Besides, Baymax is strong. My master designed many functional modules in my armor, and I believe I can help you solve any problem," Baymax replied confidently.
"Alright then, from today on, I am your captain. And as the captain, my first order is to remember not to call me by my real name. Call me by my nickname or address me as Captain. I think that would make me look cooler," Star-Lord instructed.
"Baymax understands, Captain."
"Good. Now, follow me closely. Let's sneak back to the ship without being noticed by those Kree people over there."
"Understood," Baymax responded and even saluted like a sailor to show that he received the captain's command.
Seeing how obediently Baymax followed his orders, Star-Lord nodded with satisfaction. It seemed that he had acquired a reliable henchman.
As he bent down to lead Baymax away, they accidentally stepped on the debris that Star-Lord had cleared from Baymax's surroundings earlier. This time, the sound was even louder than the previous one made by Baymax. To make matters worse, the Kree team they needed to be cautious of was nearby, and the noise immediately drew their attention.
"Who's there? Come out!"
Star-Lord's sneaking plan was now completely ruined. Hearing the shout, he wasted no time and activated the jet propulsion on his boots, sprinting away. At the same time, he warned Baymax, "Follow me closely and don't fall behind, or I won't be able to save you!"
Star-Lord ran without looking back, afraid of being caught by the Kree. After spending so many years in space, he knew well about Accuser Ronan's reputation. If he fell into his hands, he would be done for.
After running for a while, Star-Lord noticed that Baymax's footsteps were not following him. Worried, he asked, "Big guy, are you still behind me? If you are, respond!"
"Baymax is here, Captain!"
"Scared!" Star-Lord was startled by the sudden voice beside him. He turned his head and saw Baymax effortlessly flying in mid-air, keeping close to him.
"Your armor can fly too?! Why didn't you say so earlier? I wouldn't have to run so hard!" Star-Lord exclaimed.
"Captain, you didn't ask, and you told me to follow you. I thought you could fly too, but I didn't expect you to be so slow," Baymax replied.
The honest answer from Baymax hit Star-Lord's fragile ego like an arrow. He couldn't find any words to refute Baymax's evaluation.
Frustrated, Star-Lord retorted, "Since you see your Captain running slowly, you should hurry up and give me a lift! Don't you know we are escaping for our lives? This is so annoying!"
To make matters worse, Baymax said something that stabbed Star-Lord's heart even more, "But those three guys chasing us are weak. Baymax can easily take care of them. Why should we run?"
Star-Lord found himself in a conflict. On one hand, Baymax's remark hurt his pride, but on the other hand, he felt excited to have such a reliable companion.
"Okay, I, as the captain, didn't fully understand my subordinate's abilities. Alright, big guy, now I'm giving you my second order as the captain: take down those three guys behind us. Let's see how they can act arrogantly then, hm!" Star-Lord commanded.
"Understood, Captain!"
Upon receiving Star-Lord's order, Baymax changed his flight path and swiftly headed towards the pursuing Kree trio.
Meanwhile, Star-Lord watched from afar as Baymax displayed incredible agility. Despite their concentrated firepower, Baymax skillfully evade all their attacks.
Then, when Baymax closed in on the three Kree, he activated his martial arts master mode and swiftly knocked them unconscious before they could react.
Observing Baymax's stunning performance, Star-Lord had a foolish, infatuated smile on his face.
He secretly vowed that even though Baymax's straightforwardness might sting, he could endure it for someone with such gear and fighting skills. After all, he was the great Star-Lord, a renowned intergalactic troublemaker!
However, just when Star-Lord was lost in his admiration, Baymax flew back after dealing with the Kree trio and grabbed Star-Lord, carrying him like a temple statue.
"Why are you doing this? I am your captain; you shouldn't be so rough!" Star-Lord protested, feeling a bit dizzy from the sudden movement.
"I'm following Captain's orders," Baymax replied nonchalantly.
"Orders? I ordered you to take care of the three guys behind us, not to carry me around randomly!" Star-Lord looked puzzled.
"But, Captain, didn't you say when we were escaping that you wanted to take the slow-running captain with me?" Baymax innocently explained.
This straightforward reply once again stung Star-Lord's heart, making him regret his earlier vow.
Star-Lord clarified, "After dealing with the three guys, there's no need to escape anymore. We should confidently walk back to the ship! Why run away?
"By the way, they are not just those three. While I was handling them, they contacted the main force outside the temple. They want to take you to someone named Ronan. They have too many people, and I can't ensure your safety while dealing with them, so I need to take you to safety."
After hearing Baymax's explanation, Star-Lord's face turned pale. "Then can you go faster? If possible, fly even faster. We mustn't let them take me to Ronan!"
"But flying too fast might be uncomfortable for you, Captain," Baymax reminded him.
"What could be more uncomfortable than ending up in Ronan's hands? Hurry up, go full speed ahead! We need to get out of here quickly. Let the one who wants to find the Cosmic orb go searching for it. Our lives are at stake!" Star-Lord urged.
Then, Baymax complied and went into full-speed mode, engaging in supersonic flight...
