Eleazer was still hugging Suri tightly. His feelings lay bare because he couldn't control it anymore. Having the girl in his arms felt so right. Why couldn't Suri understand his feelings and only think of him as a brother instead? Had she found another man besides him?

Eleazer shook his head. It was impossible. Suri only stayed in the palace all this time. And the girl was only allowed to leave the palace when she was with him or Rowan. Hence, so far no men had dared to approach her.

Eleazer had heard that Suri received many proposals from other men, but it was always rejected by the King. He was the only man in Suri's life besides her father and younger brother. But why did the girl only think of him as an older brother?
