Chapter 22

(Unknown POV)

She's stayed in the warehouse for a while, searching for any vital information she could find related to her target. Seeing the three way battle that occurred that left the devastation on Metropolis she found her target, it felt like a connection to him. Seeing his abilities she was not weary at all, in fact the challenge excited her so she did her research on on his abilities and how to counter him. She was not a genius like most scientists but she was sure that momentum required friction and friction created heat, so she need the polar opposite of heat and that was cold. So she started raiding the mafia houses with ease killing countless people not that she cared, she only needed money not loose ends.

Gathering the money she needed she then kidnapped some scientists and got them to work on her cold based weapons and armor which took some time and her ill-gotten money to accomplish. The devastation she left behind attracted the attention of Solaris who then tried to investigate the causes, the following confrontation led to his loss when she used hostages to manipulate him. Taking all of his equipment including the ring before locking him up in her upgraded base of operations.

She then felt his return making her feel excited to meet him, she followed the connection to the see Jacob walking with Lucy on his shoulders with him none the wiser. Leading her to his home when she saw where his residence was she then did her research on him and found out many things she could about him while wearing a cosmetic disguise to make her look like a normal woman.

Using her skills of disguise, she found out where Jacob lived and then she disappeared as if she did not exist when Jacob looked in her direction. Putting Lucy to sleep he called Godwin but he did not pick up the phone, he then suited up and blitzed around the city stopping the on going chaos of his City from mugging to saving people from flaming buildings. Taking a small break atop a building he then received a call, looking at his phone he saw Godwin. Picking it he said "Yo Godwin how're you doing buddy it's been a while....." Before he got interrupted by a clearly female voice, "Jacob~~" singing his name chillingly. Hearing his name being called in such a manner he felt a shiver run down his spine and not in a pleasant way.

(Flashback Eons Ago) (Unknown POV)

Everything went well for the being of chaos, for he had many names that sent the chill down the spine of anyone who heard of him. That is until light came into being, now as a being who was curious about the phenomenon. Then came creatures from light that claimed that the time for chaos is over, now was the time for order. And so the war between Order and Chaos began for many eons, with neither Order nor Chaos getting a stable foothold on the battlefield then came creatures claiming to be Gods.

Between the mutual interest of the Gods and The Order they had driven them to near extinction, that is when he had enough. For no one, especially these cretins will and can not drive him out of his realm that existed even before them. "Enough!!!" He roared in rage before he got himself involved turning the battlefield around as he started massacring both the Gods and The Beings of Order himself. But as we all know not everything goes according to plan so that's when he was banished and sealed into another plane of existence by the sacrifice of one of the Gods, by using his life essence he became a prisoner of the void dimension. The unknown ruler of Darkness was beyond enraged that he was trapped, using his strength he saw he couldn't crack the accursed seal so he swore to himself that he would eventually find his way out and when he did he would annihilate everything especially the descendant of the god who trapped him.

(Now) (Normal POV)

"So.... after eons of being trapped here a cretin of that accursed bloodline is close to being back eh? Let us give him a warm welcome" A thunderous voice spoke in the void before a small space opened next to him and out of it came a sludge that started to move around erratically before the being spoke to it "You know what you are made for, don't you? Find him, annihilate everything he cares for and only when he lost everything then he has my premission to die."

The sludge acknowledging what it's creator wants proceeds to disappear from the void, appearing in an unknown reach of galaxy it flowed towards it mission, reaching a planet that looks similar to Venus it approached before it got interrupted by a red forcefield a unknown humanoid creature creating and trapping the sludge by using it's ring.

"Well well well, would you look at that, research material. I wonder what makes you tick." It spoke to itself before the sludge responded "Why. Don't. You. Come. Closer. And. Find. Out." Before breaking through the forcefield and engulfing the alien before it could react in time. "Nothing. Personal. I. Need. Nourishment. From. You." The sludge then receded into the alien completely taking over it. Then looking towards the ring trying to escape out of it's hand before the earlier sludge engulfed it and remade it, now the ring glowed reddish purple before it spoke "Error, Error, system guidelines not located, searching.... System guidelines not located, searching for backup.... not found, system Reconfiguration required accept?" Said the ring, the alien looking at it's ring answered "Accept"

"System Reconfiguration accepted, Reconfiguring..... Reconfiguration complete,

systems currently rebooting, rebooting... system reboot complete. Ring fully operational at 100% charge."

The alien then looked toward the planet and said to himself "From now on I shall be known as The Messenger, for i bring the tidings of my father to you."
