Despite his poor health, Jon Hunter was still capable of harnessing vast amounts of flux energy and if not for the Pegasus insulated alloy frame every cryptid in the surroundings would have been able to sense it. But that didn't mean they were safe, in fact, when Luna asked Jon to channel his flux energy she didn't take into consideration that, as an ascended, she was bound to suffer the side effects caused by the rampaging energies in the room.

Lamar quickly grabbed her and took her to a sealed room in another corner of the ship under the blinking red lights Phlox turned on after noticing the strange phenomenon. This unfortunately meant that Luna couldn't see the effects taking place in Jon's body, but because of Uriel's rank and his acquired resistance to foreign flux signatures after spending so much time with Water warlock he was able to see everything in full.
