Met Someone Familiar

-- THE NEXT DAY --

-In Eggman's Lair-

"None my inventions and robots could defeat that blue pineapple. And what did he say?

~You should get some help from someone, Egghead!~

Blah blah blah." said Eggman.

Orbot and Cubot looked at eachother then at Eggman again.

"Maybe, Sonic is right-" said Cubot.

Eggman glared at Cubot then suddenly an idea popped up in his head.

"Maybe, that blue rat was right. I have an idea. We will call him." Eggman started laughing.

Orbot and Cubot looks at each other and shrugged.

SONICA'S POV

Sonic really helped me alot yesterday. I still have no idea about that dark aura.. Anyways, I am glad it hasn't shown up after Sonic helped me.

Then, I got a call from Amy but I declined the call and ran straight to Key.

"Key! My buddy!" I chuckled and climbed on the top of Key.

It was so peaceful up there but there were...squirrels. I decided not to disturb then so, I started to climb down but just then a squirrel snatched my communicator from my wrist.

"Hey! Give it b-" I lost balance and fell off but then Key caught me with one of its branches.

I sighed in relief.

"Thankyou, Key." I said and Key placed me down gently.

"But my commu-" Just then something dropped my head.

It was my communicator but...it was broken. That squirrel... I sighed.

I guess I will have to replace it and apologize to Tails. But...I can't tell Tails that I broke the communicator... He might get mad at me. I will repair it myself.

"I will see you soon, Key. Bye." I ran to my house, walked to the table and sat on a chair.

I placed the broken communicator on the table.

"Hm, lets see how did Tails make this..Wait, I don't have the tools. I should probably ask to Tails." I thought to myself and ran to Tails's house.

The door was open, so I walked in but he was not here. Where did he go?

"I guess I will just take the tools for now. I will return them soon." I said to myself and started searching for the required tools.

After 2 minutes...

"All found! Now, lets go!" I said to myself again and ran home along with the required tools.

Well, I am not a inventor like Tails but I used to help professor in his lab. I am used to this kind of stuffs. After I reached home, I walked back to the table and started working i.e repairing the communicator.

SONIC'S POV

Amy, Knuckles, Tails, Sticks and I were at the Meh Burger because Amy had called us but..Sonica didn't pick up the call. I thought of going to her own house to call her but Amy suggested that maybe we should give her some alone time after what had happened yesterday. I didn't want to leave her alone but...

"Relax, Sonic. Sonica will be alright." whispered Tails in my ear.

"I hope so." I whispered back and looked down.

"Come on, Sonic. Don't worry too much. Sonica will be fine." said Amy.

I looked at her and blinked. "W-Why are you guys saying that again and again? Its not like I like her or whatever." I said while looking away.

They had a slight smirk of thier faces.

"It's okay, Sonic. Sonica isn't a bad choice." said Sticks.

My eyes widened and I looked at them while blushing, "It-Its not what you think. I-"

"Oh, Hi Sonica!" said Amy.

"Sonica?!" I quickly turned around but she was not here. I frowned and asked, "Where?"

They chuckled. Then I realized that they tricked me.

I put my head down on the table and mumbled, "I hate you guys."

They chuckled again.

Just then a laser beam passed by right infront of my eyes and made a hole on the chillidog that was on Dave's hand.

"What the-" I got cut off by a hard punch on the stomach and I went flying through the wall (yeah...I broke the wall..)

"Sonic!!" Amy, Tails, Sticks and Knuckles shouted.

It was all dusty and smoky a bit. I rubbed my head and opened my eyes. After the dust/smoke cleared, I saw...Shadow the hedgehog?! What the...

"Shadow?!" we all shouted in unison.

Just then I heard Eggman's laugh and then he showed up in his eggmobile. "Yes. Shadow. You were the one who said that I should take help, Sonic. And I did. I am sure I will get rid of you now."

-- Flashback --

"We will call him." Eggman started laughing.

Orbot and Cubot looked at eachother and shrugged.

"Call who?" asked Cubot.

"There is only one hedgehog who is capable to get rid of that blue pest. Shadow the hedgehog..." said Eggman.

After a while. . .

"Why did you call me?" asked none other than Shadow the hedgehog.

"I just need you little help t-" Eggman got cut off by Shadow.

"The last time I had almost won the battle until you interfered in the middle." said Shadow.

"Well, this time I will stay away and watch the battle. I promise."

-- End of Flashback --

"Don't you dare interfere in the middle." said Shadow.

"I know, I know." said Eggman and stayed a bit far away from us.

Then Shadow teleported to me and gave me another punch in the stomach. Now, the battle began. Amy, Tails, Knuckles and Sticks started attacking Shadow.

Amy tried to attack him with her hammer but he dodged her attacks. I grinded my teeth, curled up into a ball and used my spin attack, while he did the same. I left blue blurs behind me while his was red. We both kept attacking each other. But after some hits a bright flash occured and we went flying to opposite directions but I regained my balance quickly and so did he.

"Chaos spears!!" He attacked again.

Knuckles tried to attack him as well but he teleported here and there to dodge the attacks. Then, he kicked Knuckles, grabbed Tails's tails and swung him away.

"Hey!!" I shouted and went to attack him but he just teleported and attacked Amy and Sticks.

And out of nowhere, he punched me really hard. I fell on the ground, my vision started to get blurry. Amy and Knuckles were barely able to stand, Tails and Sticks were already unconscious...

"Now lets end this, once and for all." said Shadow and raised his hand, forming a red aura on his palm.

"Say goodbye, Sonic." his words echoed in my head...

"Sonic!!!" shouted Amy and Knuckles...

He was about to hit me but suddenly someone stood infront of me and all I could see was a blurry vision before I passed out...

SONICA'S POV

I quickly stood infront of Sonic and got a very very very hard punch that made me went flying towards a tree...but that red aura got absorbed into me... I coughed, blood was dripping from my mouth. I wiped the blood from my mouth and went to protect Sonic again. My gaze was weak and my body was trembling but I maintained eye contact with the black hedgehog.

He just stared at me until Amy attacked him with her hammer. He dodged the attacks. Knuckles also started hitting him. He was busy in the fight. This was my chance. I picked Sonic up and placed his arm around my shoulder. I, myself was too weak but I supported him and took him to his shack.

After sometime. . .

I slowly placed him on the hammock. He was...unconscious. I was also injured but I didn't take my health so seriously. I was worried about Sonic... But who was that hedgehog? Why did he attack Sonic?

Few moments ago, I was repairing the communicator but some tools were still not enough. So, I ran to Tails house but then I saw villagers running here and there, screaming. And then I found out it all started in Meh-Burger. But after I got there, my eyes widened after I saw a black hedgehog who was about to hit Sonic and Sonic was already on the ground! Without thinking about anything else, I ran in between them... This was what had happened before.

I sighed and looked at Sonic again.

- Time skip -

Sonic slowly opened his eyes.

"Sonic!" said Amy and we all stood beside him.

I sighed with relief.

"Ow, my head. Wait! Where is Shadow?!" he asked.

Shadow? Oh.. it must be the name of that black hedgehog. Why does it sound so familiar?

"After Sonica brought you here, Shadow also teleported and disappeared from the battle field. Eggman's face was full of disappointment." said Amy.

"Wait..Sonica brought me here?!" he asked a bit loudly.

"Yes." said Amy.

Then Sonic looked at me, he looked...furious when he asked, "Why?!"

"What do you mean why? She saved you." said Tails.

Sonic got off the hammock. "I never asked for her help!" He growled.

"Are you nuts?! She saved you. You should be thankful to her." said Amy.

"But I never asked her to help me! I never used to run away from the battle field!! And now, Shadow must be thinking that I am a coward who hides behind a worthless girl!!" he shouted.

And that last two words...hit deep... Worthless... My face got emotionless...

"Why are you saying that?!" shouted Amy.

"Its all her fault that Shadow thinks I am a coward!!" said Sonic.

"No, he doesn't!!" said Amy.

"Yes, he does! And its all because of her!!" said Sonic.

"Sonic-" I cut off Amy and said,

"N-No, he's right. It's all my fault. I am sorry. I should have let you die..." I walked out with tears in my eyes.

"Sonica! Wait!" said Amy but I kept walking.

"Worthless girl!!" was repeating in my head again and again...

NORMAL POV

"Sonic!! Are you out of your mind?!" shouted Tails.

"You have no idea what she had been through!!!" shouted Amy.

"W-What do you m-mean?" Sonic asked a bit quietly.

"You were almost dead! Shadow was about to kill you but then Sonica came in the middle and got hit by Shadow!!!" she shouted again.

His face got emotionless...

"Maybe she was right! She should have let you die but she can't! She cares about you more than herself!!!" Amy shouted again.

He looked down. "What have I done... I shouldn't have said that to Sonica... I hurt her..." he thought to himself.

"She was still trying to protect you even though she was trembling!! And you called her worthless?!" said Amy.

"I didn't know that..." a tear rolled down his cheek.

"Wait..Sonic, are you crying?" asked Tails.

He quickly wiped the tear and said, "N-No. I have to find Sonica."

They nodded and Amy said, "We will help you find her."

Sonic nodded and they went out to search for Sonica.

Meanwhile. . .

"I am worthless..." Sonica whispered to herself and sat under a tree.

The weather was getting worse. She was still injured but she didn't care. She was just looked down.

"What's wrong?" someone asked.

She looked up and realized it was the black hedgehog.

"What do you want now?" she said and looked down again.

He crossed his arms and said, "I want to know what's wrong."

But she didn't reply and kept looking down.

"I know you are not deaf." he said again.

"N-Nothing is wrong." a tear rolled down her cheek but she quickly wiped it away.

Shadow frowned and walked towards her. He kneeled down infront of her.

"But why are you crying?" he asked.

"I am n-not c-crying. There was s-something in my eye." said Sonica while looking down.

He sighed and stood up. She also stood up while taking the support of the tree.

"Why did you attack Sonic?" she asked.

"Because he's my enemy." he replied.

"This all happened because of you." said Sonica and looked down.

"If you are thinking that I will apologize then forget it." he crossed his arms.

"N-no, its all right. After all, its my fault.." her voice started to break..

Shadow frowned and said, "Just tell me what happened."

"S-Sonic says I am worthless..." Sonica said quietly.

"So? What happened? You know you are not worthless. You should not listen to that little blue-" Shadow got cut off by...a hug.

Sonica hugged him tightly and he didn't know what to do...

All the tears that she had been holding back started to roll down her cheeks. But then...Shadow also hugged her back.

"Its okay." he patted her back softly.

She sniffled while hugging him tighter, her eyes tightly closed.

SHADOW'S POV

I had never hugged anyone else except Maria... But I felt a connection with her..I feel like I already know her... I don't know why that blue hedgehog made her cry. She had been holding back the tears which I noticed very...easily.

She sniffled and kept hugging me. I sighed. And then, I heard some footsteps.

"Sonica! Where are you? I am really sorry!" I heard someone say from far away.

She clinged onto me like...Maria used to...

"Sonica...Shadow...?" Sonic mumbled under his breath, his face turned emotionless.

I teleported away from there and brought her to my cave. (Listen up readers! It's where I live! So, don't say anything about it!!)

She sniffled.

"Hey, its okay. No one's here." I said.

She slowly pulled away from the hug and wiped her tears.

"Why does she feel so...familiar?" I thought to myself and frowned.

She looked down. Then, I held her hand and teleported somewhere else.

I sat on the ground. "Sit down." I said.

She nodded and sat down beside me.

I looked at her and asked, "Does it still hurt?"

She looked at me and asked, "What?"

"When I hit you.. Does it still hurt?" I asked again.

She nodded slowly and looked down, "Its fine.. Do you think Sonic is a coward?"

I thought for a while and replied, "Yeah, he is."

"No, he's not." she frowned.

"He his." I smirked slightly.

She sighed. "Because I saved him?" she asked.

"No. He's a coward because of his friends." I replied.

She looked down.

I sighed, "You won't understand."

"And they said your name was Shadow.." she said and looked at me.

I nodded.

"I don't know why but I feel like a connection with you.." she said again.

I looked down and frowned. I also found a connection with her but...why?

Then, she yawned quietly while rubbing her eyes.

I looked at her and said, "You should rest."

She nodded slowly.

"So, what was your name?" I asked.

She yawned and leaned on my shoulder, "My name is Sonica..."

"Sonica...? It sounds familiar...Have we ever met before?" I asked but got no response.

I frowned and turned my head to her and realized that she was...asleep. I sighed.

"Maria.." she mumbled in her sleep and my eyes widened.

"W-What did you say?" I asked and shook her, then she woke up.

"Do you know Maria?" I asked.

"Maria...? I don't remember if I know her or not. But the name sounds familiar." she replied and yawed again.

I sighed and stood up. "Lets take you home now." I said.

She nodded slowly. Then, I teleported her back to her house. (Don't you dare ask me how did I know her house)

"Thankyou." she said quietly. I nodded and teleported back to my cave.

I sighed. Why does she seem so..familiar? I am forgetting something... I hate it when this happens!! I sighed again. But what I didn't expect was to fall asleep so soon...

- Time skip -

"Come and catch me if you can."

"Oh, don't you dare~"

"Shadow, meet her."

"Her name will be Sonica.."

"Little Sonica."

"Right."

* * *

"Professor!!!"

"You are not safe here.."

* * *

Chaos blast!"

"Shadow!!"

* * *

"S-Shadow, promise me..."

*gun shot*

"Maria!!!"

"No!!" I woke up, breathing heavily. "M-Maria.." My head started to hurt and then...I remembered everything.

Everything that I had forgotten about...Sonica.. I have to meet her right now!!! The sun had already risen. I have to hurry now. I teleported to her house.

"Sonica-" but she..was not here.

Where did she go this early? I growled and started to search for her.

Meanwhile. . .

Sonic and his friends were battling Eggman.

"You really wanted to battle this early, Egghead?!" asked Sonic.

"Well, yeah! And I should have not trusted Shadow." Eggman muttered.

"Don't even say his name." Sonic growled and they started battling.

Then, Sonica joined the battle.

Everyone excluding Sonic continued the battle.

"What were you doing with Shadow yesterday?!" asked Sonic angrily.

"Nothing." replied Sonica, in a...sad tone.

"Oh come on! Tell the truth!" he said while smashing a bee bot.

"I am telling the truth.." said Sonica.

"So what's your relation with him?" he asked again and took a step towards her.

Others were still battling.

"Why are you asking such questions.. I just met him yesterday.." said Sonica and took a step back.

"Just tell me the truth!!" Sonic growled.

"I am telling the truth. Its not what you think." she said while looking down.

"Then what is it? Why were you two hugging eachother?" he asked and stepped closer.

"H-He was just c-comforting me.." said Sonica and stepped back.

"Just tell me what's going on between you two?!" shouted Sonic.

Just then Shadow teleported in between Sonica and Sonic.

"Don't you dare hurt her." said Shadow in a stern voice.

"S-Shadow, why are you here?" asked Sonica quietly.

"Why are you protecting her?!"  Sonic growled again.

Shadow grinded his teeth and didn't answer. He only wanted to tell the secret to Sonica and not to others.

"Come on, speak up! What's your relation with her?!" asked Sonic.

Shadow stayed quiet, anger raging inside him.

"Sonic, why don't you trust me?" asked Sonica.

"I am talking to Shadow! Who is she to you?!" Sonic asked again.

Shadow turned his hands into fists.

"Who is she to you??!! Answer me!!" shouted Sonic again.

Shadow couldn't hold it much longer and his anger burst out as he shouted, "SHE'S MY SISTER!!!"
