[Bonus chapter] Silas’s luck hadn’t run out

[Emergency Staircase]

The sound of gunshots resonated in the emergency staircase as both Silas and Dominic fought each other. When Ivy kicked Silas's knee, he nearly fell down the staircase. But thanks to his fast reflexes, he was able to cling onto the railing to get his balance back. 

Silas didn't have enough time to come after Ivy, though. Dominic already opened fire after a long pause upon hearing Ivy's parting remarks. Which explained the chase that was going on right now on the emergency staircase. 

"Shit!" Silas slumped on the stair landing, teeth clenched, hand on his bleeding leg. He only had a graze initially, but now he was clearly shot in it as the bullet bounced. 

BANG BANG BANG!

"Damn it!" he cursed through his gritted teeth, taking off his tie to wrap it around his leg. "That damn bastard. How can he be so lucky?"
